Dusty's newest excuse for Cubs woes...

Featured Replies

During the pre-game tonight, Dusty explained that teams, like the Blue Jays, who don't play the Cubs much at all have an advantage...

They can watch the Cubs on TV.

"We're on WGN, Fox, Comcast all the time...They can watch us and prepare"

"We'd have to get a sports package, or something, to see other teams..."

Oh Dusty.... :headshake

Wow, thats f***ing pathetic...people that make over a mil a year cant afford mlb extra innings. And besides that, shouldnt the Cubs have all the gametape they could ever possibly want on anybody?

f*** you Dusty, go cry me a f***ing river.

If this is true then the Cubs have the worst advanced scouting in Baseball.

Well...you know the Tribune company...if they don't have to pay to get MLB Extra Innings in the locker rooms at Wrigley...they won't.

But guys lets not forget....All of the Blue Jays fans are such avid Cubs watchers just because they play 3 games against them once every 3 years. We all know that all of their players don't have anything better to do so they sit at home and watch the Cubs games no matter what!

Obviously Reed Johnson watched Koronka(or whatever the f*** his name is) pitch in San Diego cause he just hit a 3 run bomb 4-0 Blue Jays.

yeah, those darn packages costing over $100.

Dusty's gotta feed his kids ya know.

This why they brought in Dusty. He's a player's manager.

LMFAO!

- MLB Extra Innings? Too expensive for that little Tribune Co.

- MLBTV? Far too complex for Dusty I'm sure.

- Tapes? Well if you can't figure out or afford a satellite dish, maybe a VCR is too tough too?

- Dozens and dozens of scouts? Apparently inept, they do work for the Cubs.

- Doing your job as manager? Nah, whining's easier.

- "Or something?" That sounds like a plan to me, :lolhitting

Here is Dusty's exact quote in the Suntimes:

''They'll feel that because they can't use a big bat at DH, but we're at a disadvantage because we're on television every day. We're on when most teams are getting to the ballpark. They see us all the time. We rarely get to see American League games, so we're both at some disadvantage.''

He did go on to say during the pregame that they need to get a sports package to watch AL games...

This is the weakest excuse for losing of all time. If teams are watching the Cubs in the afternoon preparing for them, then couldn't the Cubs watch their opponents at night when their game is over?

Wow... Dusty really is pathetic.

Blue Jays take another one from those cocksuckers. :headbang

High Five

and a black cat runs on the field and the stands at the urinal. too funny

:banghead

See, what's sad is that he's not joking

I say to Dusty, explain the Red Sox and Yankees of the last, oh, 10 or so years? I believe they have won quite a bit while being on TV quite a bit.

so what he is saying he wants no audience to watch his team play on TV which would mean less attention and more attention towards the southside, sounds good to me

By the way, the trib is blaming last nights loss on a cat running on the field. The curse of the black and white cat.
