Lots of pitches in the dirt, but at sometime, our catchers need to make a tough stop.  I'm not asking for every single pitch in the dirt, but I see a lot of catchers find a way to keep the ball close enough to prevent the runner from scoring.

Agreed...I know they're not all the fault of the catcher, but when you have not 1 but 2 guys on your team tied for the league lead in wild pitches...your catchers need to work on knocking things down better. There's just too much room for improvement.

Pods is one of the few speed guys that you'll see that strikes out looking often.

A guy with an ERA of 7.41 just replaced a guy with an ERA (after this game) of 7.22.

As usual, Zito not getting the call on the curveball that drops in from the top part of the zone. I don't think the one he threw Peralta was a strike, but it was close.

Stairs stopped rounding first base. It was a mental error by Podsednik to throw the ball to 3rd, the throw allowed Stairs to get to 2nd, not his kick of the ball.

Pods needs to take off again...Figgins is getting too darn close.

Pods has better offensive numbers FWIW, unless you care about slugging from the leadoff man. Sizemore does have a little pop.
