Righties are hitting .203 against Santana and lefties .260. Looks like Ozzie is applying the same philosophy he uses with his relief pitchers to the line-up now.

He's done this at least the last couple times Santana has shut us out.

You know...I wonder what righties would be hitting against Santana if you could exlude the White Sox.

The OPS is about .150 higher for lefties as well. Maybe a couple of his pitches will find a bat tonight.

You're going to hear a lot of b****ing from Hawk tonight if this lineup struggles.

When. Not if.

Santana would have to be seriously off for our lineup to not struggle against him.

Our best hope for this game is the kid.

Tonight's game is going to be a blast!

How tough has Santana been on the White Sox of late? Try these stats on for size.

The defending American League Cy Young winner has 14 victories in 2005. He has one win apiece against the Angels, Indians, Tigers, Royals, Yankees, A's, Mariners, Blue Jays, Diamondbacks and Devil Rays. Santana is 4-0 against the White Sox, with a 0.86 ERA.

Santana has won his last six starts against the White Sox, featuring an ERA under 1.00 during that time. He took a no-hitter into the seventh inning during an Aug. 17 start at U.S. Cellular Field earlier this season, and he carried a no-hitter into the fifth last Saturday at the Metrodome during a game in which he struck out 13.

Freddy Garcia threw a one-hitter during a head-to-head matchup with his Venezuelan countryman on Aug. 23 in Minneapolis, and he still lost a 1-0 decision.

Aaron Rowand (13), Paul Konerko (10), Jermaine Dye (nine) and Joe Crede (eight) have combined for 40 career strikeouts against Santana. They are hoping that number doesn't increase significantly on Thursday, as they try to avoid their seventh loss in eight games at U.S. Cellular Field.

We could make our lineup all lefties + Ozuna.

it's possible Everett may bat lefty, he's done it before...

this will be an odd game, with last night's egg laying and the weather looking threatening there will be a little crowd, Sox seem to perform well...

I hope B-Mac gives them a chance, I have confidence he will

Wow, just heard KW's bite on the pregame show. Sounds like he's less than pleased about Ozzie airing his feelings about quitting after winning a WS.

It's sad, but Ozzie seems to be melting down a bit. No doubt there's been a lot of pressure with this collapse.

Can't blame him. What did he say?

Can't blame him. What did he say?

He said he doesn't care about all that peripheral ...then he caught himself as he started to say "s***" and apologized, and said "stuff". He's just concerned with what's going on on the field. Very blunt.
