November 13, 200520 yr Check out the front page of WWE.com. Seems "Latino Heat" was found dead this morning in his hotel room.
November 13, 200520 yr QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 11:29 AM) Wow, I watched the WWF like 5, 6 years ago,and he was pretty big. Wow. i used to watch it back in like 7th grade too, but as far as i knew, he still was pretty big. RIP
November 13, 200520 yr I remember when he was on WCW's NWO Red with Rey Mysterio Jr and others. I hope he didn't kill himself or was murdered.
November 13, 200520 yr Author Reports are saying that he had breakfast this morning, went back to his hotel room & then wasn't around when people were looking for him so they went to his hotel and found him.
November 13, 200520 yr QUOTE(knightni @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 11:44 AM) I remember when he was on WCW's NWO Red with Rey Mysterio Jr and others. Uh, that was the LWO, the Latino World Order :headshake Edited November 13, 200520 yr by Pauly8509CWS
November 13, 200520 yr Talk about bulking up? This guy was so juiced if you pinched him you could fill a glass!
November 13, 200520 yr Man, this sucks. Eddie was always one of my favorites. He was funny, he could be a great serious heel, and he was a really solid, believable worker. He was the same age as my wife - FAR too young to leave a family behind. No cause of death determined as yet, but I fear that his years of self-abuse caught up with him. Vaya con dios,"Papi", rest in peace, "homez".
November 13, 200520 yr R.I.P. He was one of my favorite wrestler's. I bet it was from 'Roids though. Vince McMahon(according to Rowdy Roddy Piper) made some guys take them.
November 13, 200520 yr QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 01:33 PM) R.I.P. He was one of my favorite wrestler's. I bet it was from 'Roids though. Vince McMahon(according to Rowdy Roddy Piper) made some guys take them. Well, I'm guessing that the days of VKM "making" guys take roids are long gone, after he was tried for roid distribution years ago, but I don't doubt that he turned a blind eye to them. More likely IMO is that Eddie died from the harm he had done to his body over the years. More of a cumulative effect than a direct one, if I had to guess.
November 13, 200520 yr Sad News, he still could put on some great matches in the ring. Here is the latest from a wrestling webstie, PWTorch.com: " Eddie Guerrero was found in his hotel room in Minneapolis with his toothbrush in his mouth. He apparently died while brushing his teeth. At this point, the belief among WWE personnel is that Guerrero died of heart failure. Shortly after Guerrero's body was found and removed from the room, Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, Dean Malenko and Chavo Guerrero visited the hotel room to say their goodbyes. WWE wrestlers and staffers were visibly shaken and emotional while leaving the hotel to go the Target Center, the site of tonight's Raw/Smackdown taping. Word from WWE sources is that the tenor of tonight's taping will be dramatically different and that the Smackdown show will need to be revised. Guerrero's death is now the lead story on WWE.com, under the headline "Tragic Loss". The article says that WWE is "deeply saddened" by Guerrero's death, and provides no further details on his passing."
November 13, 200520 yr As it is far too common in the world of wrestling, Eddy Guerrero was found dead today of a likely heart attack. And you wonder why baseball is trying to prevent players from abusing steroids also?
November 13, 200520 yr eddie guerrero abused drugs and alcohol and while he and everyone else in the wrestling world uses steroids, they are not the reason he died. rip eddie.
November 13, 200520 yr QUOTE(redandwhite @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 03:46 PM) eddie guerrero abused drugs and alcohol and while he and everyone else in the wrestling world uses steroids, they are not the reason he died. rip eddie. And you know this how?? I would be willing to bet that steroids played a big part in this, he was a small cruiserweight in wcw and the guy bulked up like crazy in the wwf. RIP Eddie.
November 13, 200520 yr In the press conference on WWE.com I believe Chavo Guererro states that Eddie was clean for 4 years, they weren't an immediate impact, but the long term effect that the stuff he did in the past definitly would have played a major role in his death if he did die of Heart Failure.
November 13, 200520 yr QUOTE(redandwhite @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 09:46 PM) eddie guerrero abused drugs and alcohol and while he and everyone else in the wrestling world uses steroids, they are not the reason he died. rip eddie. If he was the first wrestler to die in the last 10 years from a heart attack, then I would agree with you. However, this has become a pattern with wresters when they reach the 35-45 year old range.
November 13, 200520 yr Never really was too much into wrestling but still it's very sad to hear. RIP.
November 14, 200520 yr And you know this how?? I would be willing to bet that steroids played a big part in this, he was a small cruiserweight in wcw and the guy bulked up like crazy in the wwf. RIP Eddie. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The screwed up thing is that Eddy Guerrero was actually pudgy during his early days in WCW. I'm sure the roids, drugs, and booze that he abused all played some kind of role in his death.
November 14, 200520 yr QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 05:57 PM) If he was the first wrestler to die in the last 10 years from a heart attack, then I would agree with you. However, this has become a pattern with wresters when they reach the 35-45 year old range. British Bulldog, Hawk from LOD, Mr. Perfect, Big Bossman, Crash Holly, Rick Rude, Hercules Hernandez, and now add Eddie Guerrero. That's just off the top of my head.
November 14, 200520 yr It is sad that this happened, eddie lived by the sword and died by the sword. I saw his last match on Friday night, strangely it was the only 15 minutes of Smackdown! that I watched on Friday night. He was the same old Eddie, fun to watch and cheating his way into victories. Roids or not, Eddie always made a good characted work in the WWE, and he never messed up a shoot or a spot. RIP Eddie Guerrero
November 14, 200520 yr Back in 2000, i went to Raw with some friends at the Rosemont Horizon; afterwards we went to Bennigans on Cumberland. We were just about to leave, and in walked Guererro, Dean Milenko, Chris Beniot and the other guy (i don't recall his name). We asked for a group picture, but only Guerrero and Beniot agreed to take part. Anyways, I stopped watching the WWF when it became the WWE; and although I was never a big fan of Guerrero, I always appreciated the fact that he took the picture with us. RIP Eddie.
