And don't forget how good Tony Graffanino is and how a ton of teams would want him as their starting second baseman. Even though the Red Sox only offered him arbitration to get the draft pick and Graffanino accepted it because no other team felt like paying him as a starter.

Good signing, good upgrade over what they had last year, $$$ doesn't mean much to the Yankees, they had to overpay to get him, I'm sure the NYY fans aren't complaining about it.

 

Someone else made the point, but when I heard it one of my initial reactions was this was probably well received in Toronto. Boston is in a lot of trouble now, it will be interesting to see what they do.
