They got the tarp on before the heavy stuff came down, but, yeah, the outfield will be soaked. That field drains really fast though.

Bmac is definitely gonna be put to the test tonight. I hope we can get 3 innings out of him.

If you are ever at a game that has a delay watch when they pull the tarp and dump the water on the tarp into the outfield. Puddles appear, but are gone within minutes.

Some celebration: One day after signing a three-year, $29 million contract extension, Jose Contreras was not around for the exhilarating pregame introductions at U.S. Cellular Field. The big right-hander suffered a severe allergic reaction to eating seafood and was taken to Rush-Presbyterian Hospital two hours before the first pitch.

 

Contreras was reported to be doing better at game time.

What happened to Contreras?

 

He was taken to the hospital. Allergic reaction.
