Looks like the heavy stuff has moved out. I can't imagine what the field must look like though. They are going to be running through puddles. Good thing we have the best groundskeeper in the bigs.

good good

And a fabulous drainage system.

Yah. THat too. It is certainly getting tested though.

Tarp is coming off the field.... Still raining though... There is a 2 1/2 hour window to play.

Tarp coming off the field.  10:50 p.m. Central Time restart.  McCarthy pitching.

Wonderful.

Serious?  It's a bag of white powder behind the mound that pitchers use to dry their hands.  Just don't use Doc Gooden's.

:lolhitting

Damn, better take a quick shower and watch the rest of the game. Still hyped as ever!

They got the tarp on before the heavy stuff came down, but, yeah, the outfield will be soaked. That field drains really fast though.

Let's play first person to score wins....unless the Indians score first.

Bmac is definitely gonna be put to the test tonight. I hope we can get 3 innings out of him.

If you are ever at a game that has a delay watch when they pull the tarp and dump the water on the tarp into the outfield. Puddles appear, but are gone within minutes.

Hey you think we can get ESPN to announce the 50/50 split??? PLEASE!!!!! If I win I will give half to soxtalk....promise!!

Well, we might get our first look at Boone Logan in teh majors tonight.

What happened to Contreras?

McCarthy will replace Buehrle when the game restarts.

That will rival the first time I saw Michael Jordan play.

10:50 now?

Yep, according to The Score.

Some celebration: One day after signing a three-year, $29 million contract extension, Jose Contreras was not around for the exhilarating pregame introductions at U.S. Cellular Field. The big right-hander suffered a severe allergic reaction to eating seafood and was taken to Rush-Presbyterian Hospital two hours before the first pitch.

Contreras was reported to be doing better at game time.

What happened to Contreras?

He was taken to the hospital. Allergic reaction.
