Guys, the Rays are NOT a joke this year, nor were they really much of a joke at the end of last year. Kazmir is most certainly the real deal, and they have some good young talent that goes through hitting streaks.

 

I mean, they handed the Yankees their asses all season, and routinely give them problems.

 

They are 5 under hitting .230 as a club. Imagine if they had not been slumping so badly.

I was confident that McCarthy could pitch well, but I'm so f***ing sick of seeing the minor league guys on the mound (Logan, Haeger, Montero). For all the talk about how KW did a great job of giving this team depth in the offseason, our lack of another reliever is really hurting.

I have to believe that Boone Logan needs to get more minor league experience. He can get some innings in down there. Maybe we will be seeing Jeff nelson pretty soon? Anyone know how Jeff has been throwing lately?

Kazmir vs. B-Mac is a bad matchup, just gotta outslug them tomorrow and then take the series on Thursday. No biggie, but yet again Boone Logan is useless.

I think the Tigers are for real. I kept saying they'd slow down but I'm not so sure anymore.

Last season at this time I wasn't convinced about our sox and this season I am sure as hell not gonna be convinced about the Tigers.

Even if Nelson is only throwing 85 mph, I'd rather have him called up than have Logan's pathetic ass pitching. At least Nelson can be brought up for one or two big righties (Gomes, Aramis, etc.).

Well LaRoche suffers from a bad case of ADD, so that's understandable.

They are hitting .230 and have 6 runs in 5 innings.

Ozzie is completely misusing Logan. When he has worked a lot he has shown he can go out there and get people out. When he has a huge amount of time off he struggles.... Ozzie needs to either use Boone more consistently or he needs to be sent down.

We have to get Kazmir out of the game if we stand a chance of a comeback.
