So you think that every single Cubs fan thats alive today deserves to die without seeing their favorite team win a World Championship?

Just the cost of cheering for the Cubs...

Sure, why not? Like someone said, that's the price you pay for cheering for a classless, whiny, pathetic organization who will blame anyone but themselves.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 20, 2006 -> 07:57 PM)
That's a little too harsh.

That one I'm not taking back. If your dumb enough to become a Cubs fan, you deserve to suffer.

I have a tough time blaming people who were born into it. I can't imagine it's easy to stop rooting for a team when you've done it since you were a child.

Valid point, maybe people who raise their kids to be Cub fans should get slapped with child abuse charges. (Ok that should be in green......maybe :P )

I know alot of good cub fans, but then again, I know alot of bad cub fans.

But hey, I know alot of awful awful sox fans too

Freddy Garcia had an awesome performance today. Tadahito had the game of his life and the brawl made this afternoon one of the best games to watch. I have it taped and I'm ready to watch it in a couple of minutes . . .

LET'S SWEEEEP 'EM TOMORROW! :sweep:

Thats how I look at it too. From my understanding, a lot of Sox fans really hate the Cubs and their fans because they are idiots. Well, yea, there are idiots in every fan base. If you are able to ignore them, and just listen to the educated fans (or non-idiots, however you want to refer to them as), you'll be much better off in life.

I really don't know what to say to this. This is one of the stupidest things I've ever read by someone posting about Cub fans.

I think I'd better become more scarce during these Sox/Cubs series.. things are just getting too ridiculous.

See, I don't just hate the Cubs fans. I hate the whole organization. Their players are assholes, their coach is a pathetic piece of s***, and their upper mgmt makes more excuses than Paris Hilton's publicist.

The Sox just got more coverage from BBTN than I've ever seen them get on that show.

All pretty good press too.....except the end.....I would think they should be talking about plunking Barret......

Seriously though.....why the hell should AJ get hit......he didn't start that s***

Because he's AJ Pierzynski. Honestly, that's the best answer I can come up with.

Brantley just made a great point on BBTN that refutes the whole arguement that Cubs fans seem to be using frequently: A.J. provoked the fight by slapping the plate hard and therefore Barret's punch was justified. If Barret had caught the ball and tagged AJ out, surely he would have fist-pumped or spiked the ball while walking to the dugout. Would that give A.J. the right to hit Barret? Small celebrations like that are part of the game.

Plus, there's no way Barrett saw the plate smack. He was on his back, and he said he didn't see it himself.

Very true. I forgot about this. This leaves Barett and Cub fans with... zero excuses and rationalizations.

I hope Barret gets fifteen games. What a douche. Completely unsportsmanlike.

Agreed. I can honestly guarentee that if it was anyone else doing the railroading, Barett wouldn't throw any punches and it would just be an ordinary play. But because it's A.J. Pierzysnki (who only deserves about a third of the flak he receives), it must be a dirty play.

And I can't help but love Rich Hill and other Cub people who claim that Pierzynski could have and should have slid. He had no sliding lane and Barett was _right_there, but apparently they believe A.J. is Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic Four and is capable of stretching his body in a C around Barret.

f*** what the Scrubs fans say. AJ made a great play (a play that their team wouldn't have made) and they are just b****ing because their catcher will be gone for the next 1-2 weeks! GO AJ GO!

Rich Hill "It was a dirty play."

Konerko "I think he should look at the replay."

Ozzie before the postgame "Who's Rich Hill?"

LOL. During the postgame press conference Ozzie said something like "the pitcher, I forgot his name" blah blah blah but that's like the ultimate insult, had me laughing hysterically.

i can't even take the "why didn't AJ slide" thread because some are so f***ing delusional. I'd like to think in that situation i'd have the clear head of the posters who are saying "because he's blocking the plate"
