If you go to any other teams message boards around this time last year, and they are saying the EXACT same thing about the Sox. Im jumping on the Tiger bandwagon. Its going to be a battle in the Central this year, but if the Sox play the way there can, everything will work out just fine..

Except for the fact that the Sox did not come out of nowhere, they were consistent as hell going into '05. They've been a .500/2nd place team forever and just took the next step. Where as the Tigers would have to go from complete suckitude to greatness, they were one of the worst teams of all time just a few years ago, now they're the best team in baseball? I don't think so, check the countdown in my sig, that's the end for the Tigers.

What makes you think they are a good team? The fact that their pitching staff is playing way over their heads? Or the fact that the only decent team they have played, swept them.

They are winning games they are supposed to win, and winning a few they probably should lose. Almost a third of the way through the schedule they have the best record in baseball. I think they have a pretty talented starting rotation. Their numbers have been good. Verlander is considered a stud of a prospect. Maroth, except for today has been excellent. Bonderman is a talented guy. Rogers has been a pretty good pitcher in his career, and has been very tough against the White Sox. Robertson isn't bad as a fifth starter. Their bullpen isn't the greatest, but they do have a couple of guys who potentially may be very good. Their line-up is very good, and they have an owner looking to spend some money on pre-deadline additions. People expected the White Sox to collapse last year, and they didn't even with El Duque in the rotation. Finally, they have a manager who is definitely running the show, and he's won before. When they got beat up by the Sox, he popped off, and they've been on a roll ever since.

Why does everyone keep saying that? Maroth has pitched so far over his head its ridiculous, today was more accurate to how great he is. Bonderman (the Ace) has a 4.57 ERA and is a career 4.94 ERA pitcher, 2 of his wins were against KC. Rogers fades in the 2nd half like clockwork. The rest of their rotation is garbage, Robertson career ERA 4.70 1.42 WHIP, Verlander is a rookie, you really think he is going to give you 200 innings of sub 3 ERA ball?

Andrew Sisco has been with two organizations, the Cubs and Royals. And it shows.

Nothing quite like turning a 2 run lead into a 5 run defecit, lol

I'll take him. If he gets to a real organization he'll be a stud in the pen.

Wow, our announcers just said the the 84 Tigers were the only Tiger team in 70 years to win 13 of 14, and now this 06 team is about to become the second. Unreal stuff.

What are you going to do when you go under .500 in June?

LOL, what happened? 13-8?

Ambiorix Burgos, Elmer Dessens, and Andrew Sisco turned a 8-6 lead into a 13-8 defecit starting in the beginning of the 8th inning.
