Cardinals beat the Brew Crew in 7 games.

Yeppers.

The dreaded Yankees, who made it into the playoffs on the strength of Bucky Dent heroics.

In 1978, the Yankees again met the Dodgers in the first World Series rematch since the Yanks and Braves squared off in 1957 and '58. New York had a tough road to the Series, as they first had to make up a 14-game deficit in the American League East standings, then beat the Red Sox in a one-game playoff before eliminating Kansas City for the third straight year in the American League Championship Series.

The Reds beat the A's.

I forget who won it in 1988. :(

I believe it was the Twins who got the job done in 87. Also the last memorable Tigers year before this one.

Mets vs Bo Sox 1986

Of course the curse of the Babe continued with Buckner being a victim of it.

I was actually born exactly on Game 1 of the series.

The Big Red Machine

dodgers over yankees, also on the day i was born sox win 8-7 against orioles in 10

Dodgers over the Yankees -- Koufax was the MVP.

f***ing Yankees over the Dodgers.

Tigers over the Cardinals in 7

Twins

Dodgers won it all the year I was born.

Funny thing though. I always thought that I'd be doomed as a baseball fan due to the fact that I was born during the strike in 1981 (the season resumed 4 days after I arrived on the scene). Of course, the Sox won it all last year, so thankfully that theory went to hell.

Pitsburgh Pirates, 1971.

Dodgers...how can you forget Gibson's homer? Well I guess you were either not born yet or just born.

Dodgers

In a couple years, there will be people that can answer this question "White Sox."
