cause it ain't over yet Smoker.gif

I hope so, but when your down by 6 runs in the 7th inning it's not looking too good.

When's the last time a team won the WS without a really good rotation?

I'm not saying the starters can't turn it around, but they're sure making it look scary right now.

I think the Angels were the only team I can remember without any truly dominating starters. However, their bullpen was incredible.

WHY ARE WE USING THOME NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????

Honestly, at this point, I would like to see the White Sox win the division and for the Twins to win the wild card. The Tiger's luck is starting to run out. . .

A pirate win would take some of the sting out of this loss. Come on Freddy!

LOL. A Pirate win would actually piss me off a little. It would make this shellacking by a pathetic Cubs team even more frustrating. But, yes, go Pirates!

we'll take it.

Thome!

Jim Thome is pretty good. Can he pitch?

Man, we could have used that with guys on base

Chipping away a little bit.

Are you f***in' serious? I don't want any part of the Twins in the playoffs. Santana/Liriano scare the living s*** out of me.

Glad to see Thome hit a HR there, but why notwait to use him when we have runners on base?

Chat room's open. Just woke up and need an explanation for this score.

11-6? With Buehrle on the mound? What the f***?

Here's a few things people might not be aware of

the ball carries a little differently at Wrigley Field on a hot July weekend than it does on a chilly fall evening at US Cellular Field

Just sayin'

that'll work too.

Milk, what's up with you lately? I've never see you this negative before.

Yep, I do. In my eyes, the Twins are head and shoulders above the Tigers and I would want to the see the Sox beat the best

Do you get sick of yourself sometimes?

Sometimes. I'm just trying to make my point in a way that won't piss off the homers. My point is completely valid, but it's seen as being needlessly pessimistic.

The best teams in the league--outside of Detroit--are built the same way the White Sox are: a HR powered offensive powerhouse, middling pitching, and solid if not spectacular defense.

Who exactly could the Sox face in the postseason with better pitching outside of Detroit?

There are many ways to win in baseball. Pitching is an important part of the equation, but so are offense and defense.

You know how Buehrle has about 3 or 4 games a year in which he gets rocked? This was one of those games. He had nothing from the first pitch.

this might be the worst two lines of starting pitchers I have seen in a while

Detriot gets out of it, however in the top 7th, Detriot score 5 times. In the bottom half, Pitt scored 6.

It happens to other teams boys, even the mighty Tigers..

It's been a trend for us lately, though. Not an isolated occurence.
