When's the last time a team won the WS without a really good rotation?

 

I'm not saying the starters can't turn it around, but they're sure making it look scary right now.

 

I think the Angels were the only team I can remember without any truly dominating starters. However, their bullpen was incredible.

Honestly, at this point, I would like to see the White Sox win the division and for the Twins to win the wild card. The Tiger's luck is starting to run out. . .

Yep, I do. In my eyes, the Twins are head and shoulders above the Tigers and I would want to the see the Sox beat the best

Sometimes. I'm just trying to make my point in a way that won't piss off the homers. My point is completely valid, but it's seen as being needlessly pessimistic.

The best teams in the league--outside of Detroit--are built the same way the White Sox are: a HR powered offensive powerhouse, middling pitching, and solid if not spectacular defense.

 

Who exactly could the Sox face in the postseason with better pitching outside of Detroit?

 

There are many ways to win in baseball. Pitching is an important part of the equation, but so are offense and defense.

You know how Buehrle has about 3 or 4 games a year in which he gets rocked? This was one of those games. He had nothing from the first pitch.

Detriot gets out of it, however in the top 7th, Detriot score 5 times. In the bottom half, Pitt scored 6.

It happens to other teams boys,even the mighty Tigers..
