October 7, 200619 yr It would be really, really sweet if the Tigers could put the Yankees facing 2 elimination games.
October 7, 200619 yr Tigers are starting to own the Yankmees there's a suicide watch over at ESPN Edited October 7, 200619 yr by mr_genius

October 7, 200619 yr QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 6, 2006 -> 09:26 PM) No worse than "Boomer" was with the BoSox vs. Us. "A ground ball to Graffanino, OH NO!!!!!!!!" Thank God I was at game one so I didnt have to listen to that clown. Unfortunately I didnt have tickets to game 2 so I had to listen to boomer and Piazza do stupid baseball talk. October 7, 200619 yr Kenny Rogers has come up huge. A great pick-up for Detroit last off season. Too bad they didn't trade for Vazquez instead, and KW signed Rogers.
October 7, 200619 yr Granderson representing UIC well this series. I'm glad he's gaining national exposure. His presense alone makes it easier to root for Detroit to defeat the Yankees.
October 7, 200619 yr QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Oct 6, 2006 -> 09:35 PM) Kenny Rogers has come up huge. A great pick-up for Detroit last off season. Too bad they didn't trade for Vazquez instead, and KW signed Rogers. Really, really easy to say that right now. Props to KR, though.
October 7, 200619 yr Tigers are not as good as the 05 whitesox, but I'll tell ya what, they look like they got the "magic season." Noone gave them a chance or believed. So far, they are looking good. But they are still not as good as the 05 sox. 11-1 in the playoffs is just too sick.
October 7, 200619 yr QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Oct 6, 2006 -> 09:52 PM) Really, really easy to say that right now. Props to KR, though. Didn't the Tigers make a run at Vazquez? I think Zumaya was part of the package, and Rogers most likely wouldn't have been there. I do know KW tried to sign Rogers a couple of years ago but really lowballed him so I don't think he would have come to the Sox. I think this series and of course the result of 2005 shows that pitching is so much more important than having all stars at ever other position. I hope KW spends every resource he has this offseason on the pitching staff.

But it's amazing when you think about how s***ty teams like the Tigers and Cardinals played the last month and are now on the brink of advancing to the LCS. If only we could've found a way to get in. I don't think anybody could beat us. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Oct 6, 2006 -> 10:03 PM) Didn't the Tigers make a run at Vazquez? October 7, 200619 yr Hopefully Detroit can win tomorrow and eliminate any chance of a subway series. I don't know what Leyland was doing putting Jones and Zumaya out there when it was 6-0 and they could play both Saturday and Sunday.
October 7, 200619 yr I can't believe I am pulling for the Tigers right now, but there is nothing I want to see more than disarray in the Bronx this off season.
October 7, 200619 yr ARod is batting 8th today. If the Yankees lose, could this be the end of his stay in the Bronx? I really think moving him down like this is showing him up. Its not like all the others are pounding the ball.

What the hell is that supposed to accomplish? Edited October 7, 200619 yr by Jordan4life_2006

October 7, 200619 yr Maggs with a solo shot. Tigers up 1-0 in the 2nd. LMAO@the Yankee message boards.

October 7, 200619 yr QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Oct 7, 2006 -> 03:55 PM) Make that 3-0. LMAO. I love it. I can't believe I'm cheering for the Tigers. This is a special case, though.
October 7, 200619 yr I can't believe the Tigers are this close to winning the series. I just want the Yankees to lose, I don't care who beats them.
October 7, 200619 yr QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 7, 2006 -> 08:15 PM) White Sox please. Ditto. We'll deal with his unclutch ass. I guess the only question is, ARod at 3B or SS?

October 7, 200619 yr QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 7, 2006 -> 05:22 PM) Wow, Uncle George is going to be PISSED. I'm starting to wonder how much more time Torre has.
October 7, 200619 yr QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 7, 2006 -> 09:23 PM) That's not a question at all in my mind. Can the Sox afford that left side of the infield, though?
