If MacDougal is tied up through 2008, then this was a deal well worth making. We need pitching, and if we can't fix our rotation, we had damn well better have an airtight bullpen.

I don't think I'll ever understand why people here spiff a brick when a "good" prospect is traded. If I had a dollar for all the SURE prospects that came into town and did absolutely nothing, I wouldn't need a job.

The White Sox can not possibly use all of the prospects they have on the major league roster. Hence, it is ok to trade some. There are not a lot of pitchers on the current roster that will be leaving in the next 3 years. I still like what we have in our minor leagues right now.
