Garland has been great except for 1 pitch, but I wouldn't let him lose this game if I were Ozzie. He's over 100 pitches, I'd yank him next baserunner. I would yank him now.

You could tell as soon as he grabbed that ball that he had no chance to throw him out.

Very nice, strong outing.

 

And that should bring his ERA under 5 again.

Jon Garland gave up 2 earned runs as far as I'm concerned in 6 innings and made just one mistake (to Glaus).

 

Way to battle jon and a damn solid 6 inning performance.

Oh and I say this becuase there is absolutely no reason to have Jon come out in the 7th.

That should be it for Garland. Except for 1 pitch, he was very good yet again, and should get the win with a little help from the bullpen.
