It's not obvious to those of us at work and not watching the game. Usually when a player starts a game, he doesn't get pulled out.

The White Sox are up by 10 runs.

10-0 lead, pitcher cruising, player that logs a lot of innings = pull him and let him rest.

Can we say enought about Jon G?!? He is carrying us like Jose did down the stretch last season. Lets hope the other 4 can eventually catch on.

A statement would be a sweep of the Twins this weekend led by 3 straight quality starts from our rotation.

There you go. That would be a statement. Too bad Garland can't pitch in the Twins series too. It would be nice if Count gets it together and outduels Santana on Saturday.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 08:01 PM)
98 pitches so far. I'd leave him in. Give him the SHO

I agree, let Jon finish them off and give the bullpen a complete day's rest.

McCarthy could really use some work.

Agreed. He is undoubtedly our #1 if/when we make the playoffs.

I'd like to know, too, why'd they pull him out?

Because we are kicking their ass.

Nice to see Alex with a base hit there, hopefully A.J. follows suit, he needs some hits.

But A.J. whiffs *sighs*.....going to the bottom of the 9th.

Oye...

Did you check the box score before you asked? That's what I do when I am at work and can't actually watch the game. Then I can usually see the score, game notes, etc.. and most of the time figure it out why a starter was removed.

And Cotts could use some confidence. With mauer and Morneau in there lineup it would be nice to have two lefties that we could count on out of our pen.

Again, what's your point?

They steal signs at home. Last time they were here they did nothing.

Cotts could strike out the side on 9 pitches and i'd have no confidence in him for this weekend. But I agree he could use a confidence boost here, however we're gonna give Jon a shot and I don't blame Ozzie here.

Don't worry about Brandon getting some work, he'll get some tomorrow with Vazquez starting.

Deep to center, but Brian glides under it and has it on the track.

Not into complete game shut outs?

He never gets enough credit from anybody, no matter what he does. And this isn't calling you out AT ALL, it goes for most of the board.

Hawk noting that Anderson, as a centerfielder, has a quiet head.

Garland's ERA just broke 4.50

Off day Monday so Jon gets the extra rest. Let him toss 120 pitches. The bullpen is that much better off the entire pen can pitch every game. Especially tomorrow.
