Actually, according to Gameday, all 7 of Jose's runs are now earned. His ERA is up to 4.53. Every one of our starters is now above 4.50 in ERA.

I didn't like the fact that we signed Contreras to a long-term contract back when he signed it. He's at least 40 years old right now. His best years are behind him. Now he's showing himself to be an old pitcher with a hell of a lot of innings and pitches under his belt. I don't see any reason to expect him to be better next season or the one after that as he gets further and further away from 40.
