September 3, 200619 yr • Monday: White Sox (RHP Jon Garland, 16-4, 4.47) at Red Sox (RHP Julian Tavarez, 2-4, 4.90), 6:05 p.m. CT • Tuesday: White Sox (RHP Javier Vazquez, 11-8, 4.98) at Red Sox (LHP Kason Gabbard, 0-3, 6.35), 6:05 p.m. CT • Wednesday: White Sox (RHP Jose Contreras, 11-7, 4.23) at Red Sox (RHP Kyle Snyder, 4-3, 5.94), 6:05 p.m. CT Wow. Great pitching for Boston.
September 3, 200619 yr What the hell kind of name is Kason anyway? Did someone's finger slip on the keyboard when typing out his birth certificate? They wanted Jason but at that point it was just too late.
September 3, 200619 yr Author QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 01:19 PM) Is Kyle Snyder a former White Sox minor leaguer? His name looks familiar He used to pitch for Kansas City, but no I don't recall him ever being in our system.

September 3, 200619 yr QUOTE(BearSox @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 12:25 PM) I hope we see Sweeney starts in monday and wednesday's games. Well seeing how he's come out of the pen 52 times this year for Boston, I'd hope his ERA would be below 5.
September 3, 200619 yr QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 12:24 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Even Julian Tavarez has a better ERA than Vazquez. What a joke. Comparing a bullpen ERA, especially from a bullpen managed by Tito, to a starter's ERA is just f***ing stupid and pointless.
September 3, 200619 yr I'll always respect Julian Tavarez for flaming on the flaming Cubs fans when he played on the North Side.
September 3, 200619 yr QUOTE(shoota @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 12:38 PM) I'll always respect Julian Tavarez for flaming on the flaming Cubs fans when he played on the North Side. Julian Tavarez deserves the respect of no man he is by the very definition of the word, a loser.
September 3, 200619 yr QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 12:19 PM) Is Kyle Snyder a former White Sox minor leaguer? His name looks familiar our Snyder was John Snyder
September 3, 200619 yr QUOTE(aboz56 @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 12:16 PM) • Monday: White Sox (RHP Jon Garland, 16-4, 4.47) at Red Sox (RHP Julian Tavarez, 2-4, 4.90), 6:05 p.m. CT • Tuesday: White Sox (RHP Javier Vazquez, 11-8, 4.98) at Red Sox (LHP Kason Gabbard, 0-3, 6.35), 6:05 p.m. CT • Wednesday: White Sox (RHP Jose Contreras, 11-7, 4.23) at Red Sox (RHP Kyle Snyder, 4-3, 5.94), 6:05 p.m. CT Wow. Great pitching for Boston. Papelbon has shoulder problems so the Sox won't have to face him this series. I'm guessing Ortiz won't be playing either, and maybe Manny too. This is a considerably weakened Red Sox team.
September 3, 200619 yr and yet you know we will lose against the lefty. you'll hear hawk talk about how "if you have a lefty in the minors with a change up have him pitch against this ball club, because this ball club has trouble against lefty's with a change up. this ballclub is the best fastball hitting ballclub i have ever seen, but they arent as good with changeups. paul konerko is the best fastball hitter i have ever seen. when juan uribe is hot, hes the best hitter i have ever seen. [insert name here] is the best [insert pitch or situation] hitter i have ever seen."

Great pitching for Boston. Didn't we struggle against a bunch of crappy pitchers this past week? How will this be any different?
September 3, 200619 yr Let's not laugh until the games are done, getting owned by s***ty pitchers is something we enjoy.
September 3, 200619 yr Our pitching scares nobody except when it's on a highlight video of last year's run to the title.
September 3, 200619 yr Tavarez made us look silly in that extra inning game by pounding our righties with sliders low and away. We should stack the lineup with lefties against him.
September 3, 200619 yr QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 01:20 PM) Didn't we struggle against a bunch of crappy pitchers this past week? How will this be any different? ^^^^^^ Exactly. They could throw Coco Crisp out there and he'd be Cy Young.
September 3, 200619 yr As bad as their starters look for this series, I bet at least one of ours (Contreras) gets annihilated by them.
September 3, 200619 yr I still think will lose 2/3. I have no confidence in this team whatsoever. None.
September 3, 200619 yr QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Sep 3, 2006 -> 01:49 PM) I still think will lose 2/3. I have no confidence in this team whatsoever. None. Right now, there are very few teams with less motivation than the White Sox appear to have right now. Teams like K.C. and Tampa are trying to play spoiler, teams like Minnesota and Detroit are pushing for the finish. Boston has even less motivation than the White Sox right now.
