Famous Indians: Apu from the Simpsons.

Me and my roommate were literally yelling at Jim to answer his phone when Pam texted him. We were like 2 girls watching Laguna Beach. haha

"What are you doing?"

"What are YOU doing?"

"Rejecting your kiss."

"Can I get a ride home."

"Only if you sit in back."

And for the record, the lady Jim works with now is pretty hot, but I'd still take Pam. She's got that cute personality.

Next week is supposed to be the. [spoilers ahead]

Highlight text: the merge. The scranton branch is being shut down, and will merge with the Stamford branch.

Also Harold Ramis is supposed to direct a 1-hour episode set to air in december (though that's usually re-run season)

wow... i figured that it would happen eventually. but so soon.

One of my concerns throughout the show was being able to generate enough plot out of the characters that all work in the office. I mean, there is only so much that can happen with the group there....

Its a credit to the writers that they are able to keep this so damn great. Honestly, its brilliant. Its approaching the seinfeld/curb your enthusiasm level of excellence

Just a quick question about television writing I've had for a little.

How does a show with ongoing storylines use multiple writers?

For instance, the person who plays Kelly wrote this episode, but it has to further storylines.

I have had this question about the Sopranos mainly. Does the creator/producers have a template for the season, then go to the person writing a specific episode and say they have to include certain plot points in order to move the story along?

i've always imagined that there is a principal writer, and then there is a script writing session to make everything match up, and refine.

BTW the Diwali song, sung to Adam Sandlers ''Hanukkah Song''

Diwali

A festival of lights

Let me tell you something

Tonight has been

One cra-a-a-zy night

So put on your saris

It's time to celebrate Diwali

Everybody looks so jolly

But it's not Christmas, it's Diwali

The goddess of destruction Kali

Stopped by to celebrate Diwali

Don't invite any zombies to a celebration of Diwali

Along came Polly

To have some fun at Diwali

If you're Indian and you love to party

Have a happy, happy, happy, happy Diwali

Happy Diwali!

Isn't "Ryan" one of the other writers? Or have they all written episodes?

the actor who plays ryan is one of the main writers on the show. The actress who plays kelly has done a few. The actor who plays toby is also a writer or something of the sorts.

Ryan also had a big part in the first or second season of "Punk'd" IIRC
