There's just something magical about opening day. Opening night in the NBA or Week 1 in the NFL, or any other opener in any other sport, just doesn't generate anything close to the same type of excitement for me. I almost feel reborn. I can't explain it.

No, Erstad is not a .333 batter vs. captain cheeseburger. According to ESPN, he's a .292 batter vs. CC.
