A year ago was our epic 19 inning game vs. Boston.

That was a fun one.

Well Kalapse, how about the last caller the cub fan.

He suggested that Buerhle can be had for a lesser package, and that the sox are irrelevant so why dont they trade Buerhle to the cubs. When asked what would the package be for. The moron stated, well I dont know, it wouldnt have to be much. But the cubs have one of the most vast systems in baseball????

Cubs fans seem quite interested in Buehrle, there was a caller earlier in the show offering up Sean Marshall, Jaque Jones and Sean Gallagher.

Wasn't it ASB Sunday that we traded for Freddy?

Late June after the Sunday's Flubs-Sox game.

I thought that was 18.

Mark Buehrle agreed to a contract extension with the White Sox today.

Maybe someone can add him to the Soxtalk banner because the current one, which is sweet, has not had the luck of the previous ones.

:huh

Hasn't Jon mentioned this knot from time to time. The knot basically just at times causes some stiffness in his shoulder. Either way its something I hate hearing from a guy I consider one of the most durable pitchers in all of baseball.

Scary big and guaranteed to be twice as confusing as past versions.

I'm sure there's more than a few errors in the sheet so let me know if there's anything that doesn't look right.

LOL at Jose's DOB.

For some reason, you've listed Andy Gonzalez as an outfielder.

He's played 11 innings in the infield and over 150 in the outfield.

I fail to see your point.

Question: does anyone think the distraction of Buehrle contract talks have contributed to the recent stretch of good play by the sox? Despite the popular notion that distractions like this can hurt a team, I feel like it took the focus off a dismal performance and maybe even some of the pressure. Curious to hear what others think.

That or it could be that we played the Devil Rays and the Royals.

Did anyone hear Cooper on Mike North this morning? He blamed the offense a few times for the record, saying that we would have at least 12 more games in the win column if the offense was a little better. He blamed the Bullpen a little bit too, but he mentioned the offense more than once

I'm liking the new dueling lefties banner

nice job

:cheers

Yes, I believe he has. It seems to come up a bit more this year, but he only had one bad game. If he does well tonight I think we can assume the 20-14 loss was not a sign of things to come.

I see Mariotti ripped Ozzie again.

The Sox are 7 under .500 with no bullpen and all these injuries and the horrible acquisitions of

Erstad and Hall and the terrible hitting of our veterans.

I think 7 under .500 is about right.

that soxtalk logo with sock and baseball is just unbelievably awesome... that all I want to say. You put that on a picture of richard simmons and that picture would look good.

New Banner is awesome.

Also, Podsednik says he will be ready next week for the cleveland series and be 100% in all aspects. I hope he is and has a nice week or so and then we could get something decent for via trade.
