Thome sits: Guillen dropped the hot-hitting Thome from the starting lineup Tuesday as a precautionary measure. Thome is suffering from a minor irritation in his rib cage that started Monday night.

 

"I think he can pinch-hit. I just want to make sure he doesn't get there and make it worse," Guillen said.

 

Erstad took Thome's place as the designated hitter. Brian Anderson got the start in center field.

Yeah, he tweaked a muscle on his side. No reason to risk getting him seriously injured. Supposedly was available to PH if needed tonight.

I have tickets for the game tonight, but looking at weather.com, I have my doubts about the game actually happening tonight.

Time to get Danksy a win offense, c'mon already!

Will this game actually be on ESPN HD or will it be blacked out?

Let's say the game doesn't happen -- will they throw Durbin out there tomorrow? I doubt it but I'd certainly hope so!

Looking like its gonna be very windy and showers probable at with 70% chance of rain. I'll go ahead and say that I think they'll try and wait this one out and get the game in any way they can, but it could be a long night for those of us with tickets.
