Does the bench have a cumulative average under .100 (excluding Mack)?

I don't think -- Pablo is hitting .250. But it is a terrible bench, especially since Cintron and Mack are not cheap. Look at it:

Molina...worst hitting C in the bigs

Ozuna..slap hitter that can't play defense

Cintron..hacktastic hitter that is on the roster because Ozuna can't play SS

Mack...decent backup for the corners (LF,RF,3B,1B)

Anderson...on roster becuase Pods/Ozuna/Mack can't play CF

It's just a badly constructed roster, with no one oustide of Mack really having any offense on the bench.

I wonder how many times this year Erstad has grounded out to the 2nd baseman and Konerko has struck out in the same inning?

Every Sunday a hero?

Thames just hit a blast off Santana to give the Tigers a 3-2 lead.

So where does this lineup rank on the worst Sox lineup's over the last 5 years?

There were games with both Borchard and Timo in the lineup, and they had '04 Crede too. So those were bad.

On another note, how good would Jamie Burke look behind the plate every 5 games?

And it's not like we're hitting into tough luck. AJP in the 4 spot is sickening.

Stupid decisions by both managers today. Izturis hitting third? AJ hitting fourth? Apparently they don't want their better hitters to get more ABs...
