This is the baseball version of Boise St./Oklahoma. It's just so much fun to watch.

Hoffman blew the Saturday game and now this. He's blown some games in big spotlights lately if you want to count the All Star game.

I've been saying that since like May.

lol. Holliday didn't even tag the plate.

Pretty sure he didnt even get the plate.

McClellan knew it too, but when he saw Holiday not going back, he thought he f***ed up and called him safe.

Get ready for an epic controversey in the coming days. He didn't touch the plate at all. The ump even knew it. I think he was afraid of getting shot if he had called Matt out.

Great play by MB. That ump really f***ed the Padres...

Good thing I'n no Padres fan. They have every right to be appalled.

I just want to say that I will root like hell for whoever wins the Phils/Rockies series.

what an awesome game.

That ump didn't want to make that out call, he knew it though.

Got that right! Oh man...NOT the way you want to lose a post-season berth...

Anyway, great game tonight. Probably the best of the season. For anybody who loves offense, you'll love Rockies/Phillies.

That was clear to me live, that he didn't touch home, piece of crap umpire probably just wanted to go home. And you know he knew it, with that hesitation. Too bad they had to ruin a good game like that

I thought San Diego should've loaded the bases with another walk, but ouch, shouldn't have been over there

I was calling the game since about the sixth inning for a friend over the phone. Maybe since the seventh or eighth. Somewhere around there. It was my pleasure to call this game. Let's go Rockies!

I'm pretty sure he thought Holliday may have missed the plate, but since he wasn't 100% positive he missed it and figured part of his hand must have got it, he safed it. The problem is he didn't sell it at all. I can easily see how in live speed it would appear he got his hand in there using the 3rd base line extended position.
