Tattoos

Featured Replies

I haven't seen a thread about Tattoos in my short time on Soxtalk, but if there is one please feel free to lock this one.

I was just curious to hear everyone's thoughts about getting a tattoo and if you have any please feel free to share. Or show any of your favorite designs you've seen on the internet/elsewhere.

I really want to start a sleeve but I don't know how to go about finding a safe shop with trustworthy artist

I'm too afraid of needles.

I have a tattoo on my thumb. Mine came from a grinding well accident actually though, and is a deep tissue burn. I've had it for about 20 years though!!!

I only want one. And I'll be getting this between my shoulder blades.

I always thought that elements of the Barking Pumpkin record label would be awesome tattoos, but my wife threatened me with bodily injury if i ever got them.

I have barbed wire around my left ankle and Sox logo on my right shoulder blade.

I'm getting one that says "your tattoo doesn't make you special"

Yes and yes.

But I'm not a tattoo person. If I were, it'd be something along these lines (a Zappa reference :P)

I have one. I like it and it means something to me. Im actually about to get another that really symbolizes another point in my life.

I hate tattoos.

I have 4, and they all hurt like a motherf***er. I've got one that says "Chicago" in really fancy writing on my right shoulder. I've got another of the Grimreaper on my lower back. I've got another one of a severed head (a big ass knife going through the head) on my other shoulder. And one of a dude being burned alive. I want to get the jigsaw puppet from Saw.

This is the tat I always said I would get if I got one. Almost did to, but at the last second walked away.

Though I would also get the Lords dagger:

I've actually met someone who has that and I must say... looks pretty damn good. For s***s and giggles...

I have one, on my right shoulder. Kind of surprises people if they see it - I seem to not be the type they expect to have one.

I  Soxy.

Mine didn't hurt at all. Just felt hot and than numb. Maybe some of the longer lines the guy dragged on hurt a tad, but the pain is overrated IMO.

From what I understand, some parts of the body hurt a lot more than others.

Don't we all . . . :headbang

I have one on my butt that says Exit Only, in case I was ever passed out drunk . . .

I was with a friend who had her ankle done, it was her third tat as I recall, she said she will never get another, it was 100X worse than her lower back and *****.

You might want to add "Salida" on the other cheek just in case, unless you secretly want to hear "no ingles" just before the act takes place.

Get one on the inside of your arm, thats a wonderful feeling.. thats prolly the only time I was ever uncomfortable during a tattoo

I have a blue shamrock on my arm and my next one will be bull horns on my traps

Why do people get their own names tattooed on their bodies? Is it in case they forget?
