No pressure tomorrow Lilly, just win or your team is almost dead.

I'm a bit upset that Owings isn't throwing tomorrow. he's not a great pitcher or anything, but he was better than any of the Cubs pitchers in the second half, and he could bat 4th.

Is he gonna go in game 4, or are the D'back gonna counter with a 3-man?

Webb and Zambrano were excellent tonight, I can't believe Lou pulled him that early, you can't save him for a game that might never be played

don't the Cubs usually get killed by LHP?

Webb.

I'd bet on Webb going on short rest. In fact, I think Melvin pulled Webb so early in response to Pinella pulling Z early.

I also wish they went with Owings rather than Livan, if only to get his bat in the lineup.

Just a horribly managed game by Piniella tonight. Unfortunately, the Chicago media won't have the balls to rip him.

Tonight was basically the D-backs in a nutshell. Great starting pitching. Good defense. GREAT bullpen. Just enough offense. Sounds familiar.

Pinella is going to get raked over the coals all day tomorrow, and deservedly so. He had a horrid night.

Our pitching was so much better than their's. We rocked.

I believe Webb is going game 4. I absolutely love watching him pitch btw.

I still don't think this changes a whole lot in the series, although it was obviously a huge win for the D'Backs. If 'Zona lost tonight, as I said earlier, the Cubs would've been shoe-ins for the NLCS. Now they just need Davis or Livan to steal one.

YAY for the Diamondbacks!!! That's one...two to go.

He wasn't even close to being on tonight either.

so who is that jackass in the front row, flashing the cubs light.

it doesn't look like Webb has ever pitched on 3-days rest before.

He's got a slightly better ERA with 4 days rest over 5 days, but it doesn't seem significant to me. With 6 or more days however, his strikeout rate is up, and he's still nasty with the sinker.

This is from a Yahoo article on the Cubs Curse. "The Arizona Diamondbacks, of course, don't mind all the negativity surrounding their opponent. Said impish outfielder Eric Byrnes: "Bartman and the Billy Goat, I consider them teammates.""

Stupid Cubs.

I couldn't resist. The crapiness is part of the quality.
