October 6, 200718 yr I'm not sure how anybody ever hits either of Cleveland's Rafael's (Perez or Betancourt). Just nasty stuff, wow. Random, but for some reason I think Casey Blake will be the hero this half inning.

October 6, 200718 yr Is Clemens pitching this series? Is he done for the year? I can't believe I'm not aware of his status.
October 6, 200718 yr The interesting thing about A-Rod is I believe he was about a .350 hitter in the playoffs in Seattle, but he's under .200 with New York. Bizarre. Uh oh, the legendary "Jizz Can" is in the game. Expect the base on balls to be a factor imminently. And just after I type it, Lofton draws a 4 pitch walk. It's like clockwork with Luis, couldn't throw a beachball into the ocean. Edited October 6, 200718 yr by whitesoxfan101
October 6, 200718 yr QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Oct 5, 2007 -> 09:03 PM) Alex Rodriguez really is a choke artist. 1 - 8 so far this series! Collectively .125 for the Yankees Edited October 6, 200718 yr by Linnwood

October 6, 200718 yr BLEH so much for my Blake prediction, he'll be bunting now. Perfect bunt though, 2nd and 3rd 1 out for Sizemore. And they intentionally walk Sizemore to load the bases with 1 out for Asdrubal Cabrera, as some guy I've never even heard of takes over defensively in left field for Damon.
October 6, 200718 yr The only other playoff game I can think of where a team blew this many chances to win and left this man men on base was game 3 of the 2005 World Series. This is just unbelieveable. I bet Vizcaino will walk Hafner now and bail the Indians out, with how he is. And a full count, start the merry go round, wow. Base hit Hafner, Indians win. Ahh that's the Jizzcan I remember, YOU SUCK VIZCAINO!! The Yankees are 1 loss away from once again failing in October, I love it.
October 6, 200718 yr had to throw the fastball there. at least i would've. Edited October 6, 200718 yr by WilliamTell
October 6, 200718 yr QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Oct 5, 2007 -> 08:32 PM) had to throw the fastball there. at least i would've. It was obvious it was a change-up, but that pitch was weak. Actually Hafner would have made the adjustment anyway. He knew one or the other was comming. He's just happy he stayed back on it. Edited October 6, 200718 yr by SoxAce

October 6, 200718 yr Has Kenny Lofton aged since his rookie year? He doesnt look any different, whatsoever. Hafner was pretty clutch right there, that was the most emotion I think i have ever seen him show
October 6, 200718 yr WTF? A group of Canadian Soldiers attacked Jacobs Fields during the latter stages of Friday's American League Division Series contest between the Indians and Yankees. This specific group of bugs, resembling flying ants, swarmed Cleveland's home field in the eighth inning Friday, with the Indians trailing by one run. The Yankees sprayed themselves down before the start of the frame, using the repellant to counteract the bugs. The spray seemed about as effective as the New York hitters were against Cleveland starter Fausto Carmona. Rookie reliever Joba Chamberlain eventually uncorked a game-tying wild pitch with a plethora of insects flying in front of his face and landing on his neck. But these were equal opportunity offending bugs, who stayed for the top of the ninth. Before Carmona could throw his first pitch in the ninth, left fielder Kenny Lofton had to get help from the trainer to wash a flying soldier or two from his eye.
October 6, 200718 yr I love the TBS hi-def....but it was hard to watch in the 8th inning with all those insects on Joba's neck.
October 6, 200718 yr Assuming the Indians and Bo-Sox advance, that ALCS will be the WS in my eyes. They are the two best teams in the AL and the NL gets no love from me. Now watch the Cubs storm back and just annihilate everyone from this point on. Edited October 6, 200718 yr by LosMediasBlancas
