how does it make other sox fans feel to know we're the worst 1st place team in all of baseball? personally, it makes me feel like sh** and lately i'm just in a bad mood and it's reflecting while i'm at work as well, i mean i can't help that i absolutely LOVE baseball and I love the sox, i don't care how bad they're playing... i'll never change how much i love this team, but at the same time, i wear my sox emotions on my sleeves and it sucks

The DBacks are 37-33, which is a .529 winning percentage, or an 86 win pace.

Arizona started off really hot, but they have really crashed to earth in the last two months( April 19-8, May 11-17, June 6-8). They also have a streaky offense, but it is due to the relative youth of the offense. Mark Reynolds (84), Justin Upton (82), and Chris Young (72) are all on pace for more than 150 strikeouts this year, yesterday on the Score they were listing home and away average and OBP and Upton and Reynolds were in the tops for home and the bottom for away.

Yours is still an opinion dude, because statistically, Arizona is a worse team.

All I care about is that we are in 1st place in our division. I know it's hard to posiitve with some of what we have seen, but I do believe this team can turn that offense on and away we will go

Didnt the Cardinals just win a WS while winning 83 games in the regular season, who cares if we are the "worse" first place team in the majors record wise... All that matters is we make the post-season and what happens in that post-season.

Strange, as his career left/right splits are almost dead even.

The Sox are now tied for 7th in the AL in team batting average and 15th in all of MLB at .261, or in the exact middle of the pack now, up from their low water mark of .228.

 

As a team they are leading all of baseball with a 3.34 TEAM era.

I really like the look of this team without Konerko. We are scoring runs without his pop outs and DPs to the shortstop with one out. If the sox keep on winning like this I say keep paulie on the bench.

On the other hand we really aren't getting a lot of production from Anderson/Wise who are basicly Konerko's replacement since Swisher moves to first. So, unless you have a good hitting CF we should trade for in mind Konerko would provide a huge lift to this offense.

If you think those 2 would give you near the offensive output that you can get from Konerko... well simply put, your crazy.

I don't think we will have the same output but we will be more productive and a better overall team.

I've been thinking, and we need to get an OF who can hit and play CF. I think the most realistic way to improve our offensive woes would be to pretty much have the hypothetical guy I was talking about switch in with Swisher, Dye, Thome, and Konerko depending on the matchups and who's hot and who's not. Randy Winn would be a good fit for my idea. Plus, Winn should be available for probably not that steep of a price.

i hope ozzie stops giving Dotel a ROLE. seriously. everytime i watch this guy pitch, he gives up a f***ing homerun. I'd rather watch Thornton face a righty than Dotel right now. at least thornton's splits are about the same vs righties and lefties, and he has a lot more velocity behind his pitches
