Even before that last possession, Turner was abandoning the run. I blame Turner and Greg Olsen before I blame Orton.

It's one thing to expect him to thread the needle, another thing to overthrow everyone he throws to if they're farther than 10 yards away, especially when they have 3 steps on their defender.

They had awful field position all day long (Maynard looked bad) and they couldn't get their offense going at all in the second half. Orton is good in short and medium throws, but teams aren't even going to bother covering the deep plays. He kept missing wide open receivers.

San Fran and Oakland may be worse. But, Atlanta is a lot better, Miami is improved, and St Louis will compete for a playoff spot when they get their stuff together.

Oakland will win 7 or more games. The offense will improve all season and there defense IS very good (despite Denver b**** slapping them).

The Chiefs suck, and a complete overhaul is what they had intended to do when they started getting the wheels turning last season..

 

I would be shocked if they aren't the worst team in the league, they got a lot of good young pieces but they need a QB which im sure will be next in line for them.

If Carolina defenders could catch the ball, he would have had 2 picks in this half. I just cringe every time he throws the ball deep.

He wasn't bad in the first half, but he was horrible in the 2nd half. Carolina adjusted to Orton's weakness and forced him to have to throw the deep ball and he missed at least 5 wide open guys on 15+ passes. Plus the other downfield passes he made were just poor decisions.

This. It's like Turner is afraid to use Forte. Now you have them stacking the line probably on 4th and 1 and it will be a very tough yard to get.

I had McFadden on my bench for Larry Johnson. Ugh.

Last week I had Forte on my bench with Lynch/Julius Jones starting. This week I had Jones/Lynch again with McFadden and FOrte sitting. Next week I'm finally going to make an adjustment and one of Forte/McFadden will start. Probably McFadden cause i don't like Forte matching up with the Bucs. Of course Julius Jones at least has been solid today.

 

The bigger mistake is me picking Manning and Harrison.

I've had Forte benched both weeks too, good news is that Portis and Bush have done just fine. It sucks though, cause my team would be absolutely awesome if Brady didn't die.
