That Cubs song is super ghey.

Can somebody tell me what seperates the Cubs from the Astros? They mirror each other in a lot of ways. They both sport explosive offenses (Houston has a lot more speed with Bourne and Matsui). They both have proven #1 starters in Zambrano and Oswalt, but are suspect 2-5. Bullpens are pretty similiar with the Cubs, IMO, having a slight edge with Marmol. I ask because nobody talks about the Astros as a contender in that wimpy division.

Yeah, that song fits that franchise and fan base perfectly: Terrible and gay.

I have mentioned all the Cubs due for a regression to the means. And although Ted Lilly as a #2 starter still won't win the Cubs anything, he got off to an AWFUL start this year. So he's going through the opposite of regression to the means (sucession?) right now, because he is still a decent starter.

I'll believe Dempster if he can keep it up throughout June. As of now, I don't believe it.

Just for trivial purposes, there was a reliever turned starter last year who put up a 1.91 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 18/10 K/BB and 2 homers allowed in 5 starts, 33 IP in April last year. He ended the year with a 4.94 ERA.

I'm not saying Ryan Dempster is Braden Looper by any stretch of the imagination, but I am saying I wouldn't be surprised if his year end line looked like that. Pretty similar numbers to be quite honest.

Dempster doing good again today. Much like Gavin Floyd, he somehow just doesn't give up many hits.

Cubs get a gift run as Upton refuses to throw the ball in and then they botch the play at the plate. That's 4 errors on Upton this season already.

How did he drop the ball? Sheesh.

Time for Upton to help the Dbacks this weekend.

I mean the catcher. Soriano would of been out easily.

Defenses seem to suck against the Cubs at Wrigley. I don't know what pitchers their hitters have been facing, but their hitting looks really bad so far this series.

For a guy with an awesome fastball, Scherzer sure throws a lot of off speed stuff.

Dbacks took the lead after some nice patience at the plate. I've never seen a game where 3 of the first 5 innings had bang-bang plays at the plate.

Chad Qualls is the city of Chicago's b****. Soriano looking pretty good at the plate lately.

Did the delay prevent Zambrano from starting? Weak!

A lot more teams are taking precautions it seems when the weather conditions are bad.

Hawk would be having a coronary with how bad the umpire in the Cubs game is. Gallagher has about a 3 foot plate to pitch to, and Gonzalez has to throw it right down the plate for a strike.

Diamondbacks have been quite the chokers this weekend.

Idiot on the field at Wrigley.

WGN does the right thing by not showing the dumbass.

Cubs sweep the Diamondbacks. I'll predict an 8-2 record on this home stand for them. Their douchebag fans are going to be back on the bandwagon tomorrow.

nice to see the Arizona bullpen decided to show up.

unfortunately i went to the game today and tony romo walked right past me, i pointed to my friend and said hey does that jersey say romo? sure enough we chased him down and were right next to him, no joke - he was still tan from his trip to mexico LOL. he was also holding hands with a woman who was not very attractive haha.

Bruce Levine reporting it's almost a given Edmonds will sign with the Cubs. An unlikeable cast of characters becomes even more unlikeable.

If he hits the wall face first on one of his patented back to the infield over the shoulder catches, will his shoulders pop off like lego man arms?

Its gonna happen

No way he risks his pretty face with that brick wall.

Edmonds just opened a fancy-ass restaurant in St. Louis last October and then got traded in December. :lolhitting

Zambrano vs Padres offense with wind blowing in = recipe for a C. Zambrano shutout.
