javy was a 2 pitch pitcher today, he did not have his slider or his curveball today, i don't think he threw more than 2 curveballs all day for strikes

Even though he got out of the inning, I'd yank him.

I'm not saying our bullpen will do better though.

Agreed, and the reason for that is his fastball has too much tailing action. I don't recall a time AJP's ever set up inside with him on the mound.

If we think Thornton or Logan can give us 2 innings, 3 of the next 5 guys in their order are leftys. Edmonds, Fontenot, and the guy who swears at domes.

I don't know if I'd say his stuff is overrated...but he just doesn't attack when he's got a guy 0-2 or 1-2. He just dicks around too much.

This is the pattern of his career. A couple of good months. A couple of lousy months. And rarely a good game when people are watching.
