The stretch from Nicky the Swish was just as good...

Jimmy has lost his power.

Do we need Paulie?

WEB GEM OF THE YEAR FOR THE SOX!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder if those people who wanted Konerko TRADED still think the same way.

Today's game is exactly what Paulie needed. He's always killed Millwood. He really needed a confidence booster like a 4-4 game to get him back on track. Hopefully, this game isn't a one hit wonder. Paulie's had a couple of those this season.

Just an amazing game. Hamilton is too good and Kinsler has the quietest 24 game hitting streak around. Nice to see Paulie hitting. Thome with a bomb and the final out by Alexei and Swish just made me stare open mouthed. Was listening to Oingo Boingo's 2nd album "Nothing to Fear" and a song called "Reptiles and Samurai".Was perfect up tempo music for up tempo baseball.

The good is that Paulie looked about as good as he has all year. The bad is that he only has 1 more game to build on his momentum.

we'll see if ESPN makes Alexei's play a web gem.

I would love a 2.5 game lead into the ASG. Then against KC with Texas against Minny, we could pick up some games fast. Minny's pitching is gonna get raped by Texas' lineup.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

man if we would have blown it in the 9th, this board would have spontaneously combusted

Alexei and Swish ... those of you drinking tonight toast them please.

Great game again by Danks.

Thome, Paulie, Quentin, etc., nice.

Hopefully the bullpen just needs a little rest.

Unfortunately we may need a lot of relievers Sunday with Jose in a slump facing the Bombers.

yeah I'm glad everyone always jumps to conclusions after losses...just a fantastic all around game. I love this team.

For a while there I thought were going to blow the whole thing in the 9th. At least we got a win out of it.

Man that was some play all the way around!!! I posted on another topic about it. I was watching it on WGN and Hawk was calling the batted ball a hit when all of sudden Ramirez stabbed it and made that throw and Swisher gave it the best stretch to catch it. WOW! I think it will make ESPN Plays of the Game what do you think?

It was funny, the second Swish made the catch and the ump called him out, my Grandpa and I looked at each other and agreed that there is no way Paulie makes that play.

Jim Thome's OPS is up to .876 on the season.

No mention of Alexei (or Swish) in Web Gems. Hopefully, it was just too late and it will make the later addition b/c that was a hell of play both ways around and ended the game.

ummmm but Thome sucks, hes only hitting like .240 or whatevar, he is the absolute suckiest player of like all time

I'm a little late here I know, but... Wow! What a great play by Alexei! That was one helluva way to end the game.

ESPN's TitleTown at Wrigley makes me giggle.

Wow, not one mention of 2005, and just one half second shot of Crede kissing the trophy.

ESPN, suck a nut.
