well look at it this way - if we come back from behind now, we got ALL the momentum for game 5! haha

Well, guys, a divisional championship and a playoff appearance is awesome. It has been a great season.

I think this has been one of the most frustrating seasons I can remember in a while.

This and 2006 I guess, but I'll give the edge to this year.

Please no Gavin hate. Think about how far this guy has come. He didn't have it today.

If we only had more pitching depth, he'd be the ultimate sell high guy. With his K rate and home run trouble, I'm not sure if he'll ever be better than he was this year (not that it's a bad thing).

Well thanks for the season guys. Hopefully the Indians and Tigers continue to suck next year so you have a chance at another division title in this joke...

Kudos to Gavin Floyd for even getting us here, today just wasn't his day to shine again........

The offense needs to step up for him now!

The same thing happened to the Brewers, oh well.

Cabrera with a the ill-advised throw to home when Floyd should still be on 2nd base...or maybe 3rd after the single.

Not Gavin's fault, you can ask a young pitcher to pitch lights out in big games only so much.

Andy Sonnanstine is the same age as Gavin

Probably a few, who will turn it back on moments later.

AJ should've told Gavin to ignore the runner, in addition it was just a terribly managed inning. Great season, guys. But our approach at the plate has been terrible, and OC is a dead out along with Thome right now. Just too much to overcome 4 runs.

4 runs is nothing against this piece of s*** Sonnastine. That is if we get any real approach going.

I'm watching it illegally on that guys yahoo. But naw, no more in front of a real tv. Isn't working.

This is why the need for a competent backup catcher is of utmost importance next year. Toby Hall sucks at offense and is even worse defensively. Give me a guy who has a gun behind the plate and let him spot start against teams with speed when Floyd is pitching. It's a travesty that we are so bad at holding and throwing runners out.

What?

I think he's saying we can still win and he can start later in the postseason.

this game isnt over. it doesnt look good, but its far from over

Are you serious? Before this year, we were supposed to suck. Then, we played the whole month of September except 2 or 3 games without Quentin, the MVP. Did you really expect another ring?

But you blew it big time in the only game that matters.. oh well. At least you got some experience.

Congrats on perhaps the worst post in Soxtalk history. I guess game 162 vs the Tigers didn't mean anything.

Right on! Couldn't have said it better myself fathom.

Okay...give up on the Sox if you want, but Sonnanstine isn't Josh Beckett out there. We can get back in this game. The Twins pecked back from a five run lead, anything can happen, as long as we don't get down by much more and the bullpen can hold them down like in Game 1.

And Sonnanstine sucks. The Sox offense is doing a terrible job, as usual, against junk ballers.

DP.

I know it looks bleak, but we still have eighteen outs.

I still don't think this game is by any means over. Richard, who I think sucks, needs to shut 'em down for a couple innings.

WTG Griffey!!!

Griffey went back to his Seattle days right there.

he's coming off an awesome must win game from last sunday.

Nice catch by Griffey. I thought that would drop for sure.

Let's see how the offense responds under pressure. Oh boy...

I'm all for a 5 run inning. Let's go vets! :gosox1:
