Is anyone REALLY surprised that Will Ferrel's Land of the Lost movie is getting raked over the coals by critics?????? One and a half stars in the Trib today

No, and I don't think it'll make a lot of money either because it seemed to only begin marketing itself a few weeks ago.

 

Additionally, I don't even think they know who they should be marketing the movie to. McBride is still a nobody in the comedy world, and Anna Friel is even less popular. I'm watching ESPN several days ago and was surprised to see a preview for an upcoming Man vs. Wild co-staring Will Ferrel. I realized then they're marketing the show to idiots. The people who tune into Bear Grylls' "adventures" and wonder to themself whether Ferrel can possibly survive the wild! Then, because Ferrel told them too, they'll see the movie. They've already seen every other one, so why not keep the trend going?

You can pretty much say that about any movie anymore where Will is the star.

No! I will not have this! Stop talking about Will like this! This is bulls***! I cant contain this fit of anger that is within me!

I can't wait to get out of work today either..but then again....I hit overtime at 8am yesterday and still have allof today and a half day tomorrow to go so I guess i'll suck it up for the big check.

They're putting in a Sonic a couple blocks away from me. Construction is supposed to start any day now. I've been seeing their commercials for years now yet have never even seen one so this should be interesting.

Acting-wise in comedies maybe but I like the work he's doing producing Eastbound and Down.

I don't know what compelled people to wait in that long for average food. Maybe it was all that advertising and no chance to buy it.

Sonic's food, I 100% agree with BS's comment - it's subpar - and that's probably being generous.

 

However, for some reason, I am seriously addicted to their cherry coke's. They have a really good fizzy coke mixture.

Their cherry Cokes are good, and their cherry lime-aid is outstanding. I agree most of the rest of their non-ice cream food is bleh, but I have a soft spot (and a fat ass) for their Coney dogs.

Same thing happeend out here when they opened the first Chick Fila....very quickly people stopped going, haha.

I had to go to one when I was in the midwest doing one of the minor league roadtrips....it was because Paris Hilton worked in one back when the Simple Life was good, check that, great.

I love Sonic. I don't think the food is "subpar" at all. I usually get mozzarella sticks, a grilled cheese sandwhich, sometimes fries, and a Sonic Blast (think Blizzard from DQ). Pretty solid meal. Their drinks and desserts are definitely what makes that place though.
