Interesting stat...coming in to today the Sox had the 4th worst BABIP in baseball. Only teams worse are San Diego, Arizona, and Oakland. Sox are at .284. That says something. I'm not sure what it says yet.

I wish I could say that was bad luck but it seems like the balls put in play are generally pop ups and weak fly outs.

Dotel with 18 consecutive scoreless appearances dating back to last season.

Kiss of death.

Why are you jinxing him? Why?

Edit: He has been crazy lucky/clutch with that bad K:BB ratio.

It says that they've been hitting a ton of weak grounders and pop-ups, not that they've been "unlucky"

Bautista just stole third trotting..

Talk about f***ing pathetic.

Inexcusable. Fields can seriously go away. Horrible hitter, terrible fielder and his head clearly is not in the game.

Wow, we catch a break there.

What an incredibly lucky bounce.

Did Dotel just throw one behind Rios? That's where Gameday put it.

seriously...

Game.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I guess I just lost us the game. SHAME ON ME

This season is hilarious. deja vu to 2007. You knew the Sox would give up a run right after the HR.

Jinx.

Good effort by Podsednik.

These losses have become comical. Thank god they're losing now, instead of treading around .500 and giving us the impression they're capable of competing.

Yes. but it bounced back to AJ.

the lead off walk scores?

that never happens

We have so many guys in our lineup right now that are just not ML players, and if they are they are way below average: Nix, Fields, Ramirez and Pods. The best thing from this game is Clayton looking great against a great hitting team.

Someone want to give me the summary of what happened on Rios's triple?

The best thing about this season is that I can't even get pissed anymore. I just laugh at the fact that they are hilariously bad.

One thing is for certain.

They're going to have to assign significant fines to pitchers for letting runners steal bases without even looking at them once.

It just puts too much pressure on the pitchers to make perfect pitches...Dotel lucked out once, but not twice (having Anderson in CF would have made the obvious difference there).
