January 24, 201016 yr Nobody was even saying Kobe will be better. But you can't deny the fact that Kobe will be the closest we will probably ever see, and the fact remains his "closeness" is still MILES away from Jordan as a player, which is more attributed to how good Jordan was. That's what Steve and myself (and even MHizzle) are saying. As far as SG.. he will probably be second best, but he still won't be as good (as far as overall player) as Wilt, Magic, etc.
January 24, 201016 yr QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jan 24, 2010 -> 10:29 AM) That is just a ridiculous statement, Kobe came along before Jordan even retired and you dont think another player will ever come up again that is as good? There might not be any player who lives up to Jordan in the eyes of everyone who saw him in the 90's but there will be a few who might come close to being as good or even better. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 24, 2010 -> 11:58 AM) Kobe sure as f*** isn't one of them, so thusly your statement is ridiculous. Hold it. Hold it. Enough. I'm the only ridiculous thing allowed around here. You should know that Steve.
January 25, 201016 yr QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 23, 2010 -> 04:55 PM) Any sound clips of Stacey King going off after that Rose dunk?
January 25, 201016 yr I despise Kobe and love Jordan, but I can't deny any longer that Kobe is the closest thing to Jordan that the NBA has ever seen. He's not quite on Jordan's level defensively or offensively, but he's damn close. The only player that I could ever see catching or passing MJ at this point is Lebron. But Lebron would have to improve his defense again for this to happen.

That is epic. The bench's reaction was awesome! Nocioni's dunk over Songalia was better. It is not like Rose hurdled him or anything, the dunk was a gimme and then the Suns player got in the way slightly.

January 25, 201016 yr Give Slav the scoop on this one. He just notified me on AIM. The Hornets have reportedly agreed to trade guard Devin Brown to the Bulls for center Aaron Gray. The Hornets needed a big man and had too many guards, so the move makes sense. It would appear that Marcus Thornton should slide into the starting shooting guard spot in New Orleans, which means he should probably be owned in most leagues. He's been ok from 3pt this year, so he's more useful than the great white DNP. Edited January 25, 201016 yr by Steve9347

January 25, 201016 yr Crittendon pleads guilty to misdemeanor gun violation, lesser charge than what Arenas plead guilty to.
January 25, 201016 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 25, 2010 -> 02:32 PM) Let's hope the Noah injury doesn't become something more serious. Both he and Taj Gibson are battling with Plantar fasciitis, not to mention the shoulder injury with Noah as well. Dude is just banged up. BTW, that Flu bug that's been around the Bulls locker room... Derrick Rose now officially has it. And I changed my avatar. (Slayer will come back when ST hits) Edited January 25, 201016 yr by SoxAce
January 26, 201016 yr No Aaron Gray was my favorite Bull. I know Mhizzle will be disappointed as well. I guess my new favorite is going to have to be that Rose kid. Hopefully he turns out good.

January 26, 201016 yr Joakim Noah, you are awesomeness. Also, Rose is trying to lock up an All-Star spot. The one annoying part of this road trip is beating the good teams and crapping out against bad teams.
January 26, 201016 yr Kudos to the refs, even though they screwed up the OB call off Duncan, to not call the flops by Ginobli.
January 26, 201016 yr 3 wins in a row on a western conference road trip? Extremely shocking. Bulls are 1.5 games out of 5th. Go figure.
January 26, 201016 yr Hm. The Bulls are playing some really good basketball, and we're seeing the evolution of Derrick Rose's shooting game.
