If Linebrink isn't pitching, I have full confidence in Thornton and even Dotel.

If he isn't tired, you have to send him out there. If you don't you had better plan on having a new closer.

 

He had throw a crap load of pitches over the last 2 days. It might not go too well.

 

 

I would personally give Jenks the night off.....not that I'm giving up on him as a closer, but he's thrown nearly 50 pitches in the last 2 games (plus two warm up sessions). Its time to give that arm a rest.

I don't think it would be a good idea to pitch Jenks tonight. Go with Matt for the night.

That is why I prefaced it with, if he isn't tired. If they hold him out because he is around 50 pitches in the last two days, that is fine. If they hold him out because they are scared, they need to make the switch for good.
