Hopefully Jenks has gotten his head out of his ass tonight.

He has a short memory...he'll be fine.

some nights jimmy loves the hat trick

Ozzie said he would be ready to go

Coop said he would be unavailable on the radio pregame.

If Linebrink isn't pitching, I have full confidence in Thornton and even Dotel.

If he isn't tired, you have to send him out there. If you don't you had better plan on having a new closer.

He had throw a crap load of pitches over the last 2 days. It might not go too well.

I would personally give Jenks the night off.....not that I'm giving up on him as a closer, but he's thrown nearly 50 pitches in the last 2 games (plus two warm up sessions). Its time to give that arm a rest.

I don't think it would be a good idea to pitch Jenks tonight. Go with Matt for the night.

Good, performance aside, 50 pitches in 2 nights for a closer should equal a day off

agreed i thought after 28 pitches monday they might not go to him yesterday, might have been for the best. tonight will probably be linebrink

That is why I prefaced it with, if he isn't tired. If they hold him out because he is around 50 pitches in the last two days, that is fine. If they hold him out because they are scared, they need to make the switch for good.

Wasn't that heading into the 9th?

It's not much better when we're trailing in the 6th.

Hopefully today starts us towards fixing that trend.

I have to imagine Dotel would be closer tonight.

wow pena looked clueless that last pitch

Stoney's awesome! Time to get revenge on Zobrist

i hate zobrist....

Burrell matches up pretty well against Thornton's inside fastball.

and zobrist walks...boy we just cant have a 1-2-3 inning can we

a LONNNNNNGGG foul thank you very much

Wow, this match-up is just not good

That would be boring.

Those Rays announcers are b****ing and moaning about the strike zone, did they do the same last night when Jenks didn't get a strike call I wonder.
