Don't like that Richard was involved as it seemed he was starting to find his groove here and especially with Colon's elbow morphing into a grapefruit. And I thought Peavy was out until Sept?!?

Excellent timing for Richard. Poreda looks like a LOOGY to me. Its a freaking steal if Peavy is Peavy the rest of the contract.

I agree with you on all fronts. Carter may be the biggest loss, and Richard could end up being a back of the rotation guy, but Peavy trumps all of that. Poreda must not have hurt his value too much with his poor control in the majors.

Sox have options of Torres, Colon, maybe Garcia until Peavy gets back. The only real problem is tonight. Honestly I would take that for multiple years of Peavy
