September 13, 200916 yr Seriously,Detroit's lead can be easily down to a couple of games by the time we play them, they are just not that good of a team. With a healthy Peavy, our rotation is as good as any in baseball, our bullpen needs to step up and we gotta shore up our D but there are some interesting games still left in 09 for us
September 13, 200916 yr Seriously,Detroit's lead can be easily down to a couple of games by the time we play them, they are just not that good of a team. Just think if we'd continued our .500 ways on that road trip from hell. I'd be excited if we were 2 out in loss column. We're still in the miracle stages, folks. We're way behind in the loss column. It'd be one of the biggest chokes in baseball history if Detroit folded. We need to win this series. We haven't even won a series in a while.

September 13, 200916 yr It would definitely be exciting to see Detroit continue staggering and the Sox sneak in. I just wish were were a tad bit closer.
September 13, 200916 yr QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 12, 2009 -> 11:51 PM) It would definitely be exciting to see Detroit continue staggering and the Sox sneak in. I just wish were were a tad bit closer. A half game seems like it could equate to a ''tad bit''. So my question is... would you stop all your whining that we have endured this entire season if we were a half game closer? How about a full game closer *gasp*? Caulfield and yourself easily are two of the most predictable people i have ever encountered in any way, shape, or form.
September 13, 200916 yr I haven't whined the entire season, just since the O's and Royals series at the Cell. No, I'd feel moderately confident if we were 3 out in the loss column at this stage of September.
September 13, 200916 yr QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 13, 2009 -> 02:30 PM) Det gonna win today. 7-2 final score.
September 13, 200916 yr 6 back. Detroit has 1 left with Toronto. Sox have off day tommorow. Next up: Detroit vs KC (KC loves playing the spoler mode) Sox @ Seattle (Sox are going to need to sweep a team eventually) My hope is that Detroit's lead shrinks to 4.5 games by the end of the next series.
September 14, 200916 yr If we did win the division, those of you who never gave up would be nominated for fans of the year and probably let us nonbelievers have it.
September 14, 200916 yr QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 12, 2009 -> 10:19 PM) Sometimes these things do take time, right? Nope...it's immediate. As soon as Rios says "Hi" to Greg Walker, his AVG is going to jump 30 points. /green.
September 15, 200916 yr Middle of the 8th, 5-2 Blue Jays. Looks like Downs might be coming in, as he was warming up in the top of the 8th. Cabrera, Thames, Inge due up.
September 15, 200916 yr Tigers look bad - which means they'll probably go far in the playoffs. Shame no one had the balls to make a run at them.
September 15, 200916 yr QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 14, 2009 -> 08:49 PM) they've been doing it all year long - they lead the AL in comeback wins. The Blue Jays gave up an error to the lead off batter in the 9th, so that kinda sucks.
