JT. We need a LH bat to balance the lineup.

Thome. We need OBP. I don't care which side of the plate they bat, but this team needs OBP. Thome even on the decline gives you a .360 OBP and a .800+ OPS.

Jim Thome, we could use his bat in the lineup.

We can also adequately use Jones as a DH against LHP with Thome in there.

Peanut butter and jelly. I just smoked a Cecil Fielder sized blunt and I have the munchies.

With what circumstances?

Both equal one year deals?

Then the answer is JD without a doubt.

My answer as well.

Take back a Sox player? What's Greg Norton up to these days? :)

I inspired this poll!

fat andruw can probably hit as well left handed as he does right. let him have a try.

Voted for Thome.

Dye is the guy I'd want back more, but we need a lefty. Thome would be a big upgrade over what we have now (absolutely nothing) and he is one of the better options out there for what we would likely have left to spend, if anything.

Kittle.

He's going to SoxFest.

But between Dye-Thome, Thome.

Big Hurt AKA PB&J

There's no chance Dye is coming back. I'd take Thome back but I really do prefer the idea of not having a DH that can't play the field for this team unless he was a real stud.

dude ive been jobless for 3 months and havent smoked in 2, i think us sox fans need to stick together and hang out more so why dont you and that blunts son come over to Cal City and we talk sox.....

On a side note im all for a Jim Thome/Andruw Jones platoon.

White Sox DH Jim Thome hands starter Mark Buehrle the game ball before the Opening Day matchup between the White Sox and the Indians.

There's a chance we are underrating Dye and possibly missing out on a great year (yeah, duh that's with everyone.) I, too, was just sick as hell of him after that second half. But recently, I can't help but think about how pissed I was he didn't make the all-star team. If we took a flyer on him, I'll hold my tongue...possibly my nose as well. But I just have to wonder if Jim really has another year left in him.

Exactly, Thome is no stud by any means. As long as he NEVER plays against a lefty, I'll take his 2 strikeouts, 1 weak selfish groundout to the shift, no speed, and 1 walk per game against good pitching, and his 3 for 4 with a HR once a week during a blowout.

I'd take either JD or Thome back...

I would say Jim Thome has been a clutch player and you are throwing out a bulls*** hypothetical scenario that I'm sure has happened but, according to the numbers, really hasn't happened that often in the past 4 seasons.

:lolhitting I get the joke, but if Thome looked like that he'd either set a new record for inside-the-parkers or walks.

...or inside the parks on walks.

I wonder if KW is in any way considering bringing in Tejada to be our DH.
