Alexei worries me this year.

I haven't had a chance to watch his at bats yet...has he looked like he understands the existence of "breaking balls" this year yet?

He doesn't look like he understands the existence of breaking balls or straight balls. He looks lost.

Its been two games, geez

Mark Teahen

Sure. If you ignore his .681 OPS after the All-Star break last year... or the .567 OPS in Spring Training.

Freddy Garcia.

Lol. Jerk.

Teahen looks lost at the plate. Alexei in the field looks much more comfortable this year.

It looks to me like Teahen has no confidence at the plate, so he gets my vote. Alexei has been a slow starter the past two years so he doesn't really worry me too much.

as much as i hate to say it im thinking it will be teahen he looks like he has no clue at the plate

Pierre will be fine, i'd definitely pick Kotsay

Kotsay cause he won't be playing again until Saturday at best (or worst, depending on whether you like him or not).

Either Kotsay or Teahen.

Teahen no doubt, last night with the 2-0 count and AJ on first he barely takes a half swing barely gets contact and hits into DP. He is like Karkovice swinging the bat now.

I think it will be pierre.

For all the Kotsay sucks threads, I'm very surprised he only has 36% of the vote right now

Given that he won't start again until Saturday or Sunday it'd be pretty silly to pick anybody but him IMO.

So it's between Mark and Mark.

teahan looks like it's punishment to send him up for an at bat.

Did you go back to Columbia?

Teahen is what he always has been. A guy always available even in deep fantasy leagues.

It's hoped he can hit .275 and cut down on the Ks.
