Yeah, flukes are nice.

Agreed. 90 wins the following season was brutal. And a division championship 2 years after that. Horrible.

Are you even a fan of this f***ing team?

At least Freddy and Linebrink pitched well and can build on it. I still am trying to figure out what Rios was thinking when he was doubled up earlier in the game, but its no secret the Sox are at least one bat short.

Who needs Nathan with CY Rauch!!!!!!!!!!!! :gosoxretro:

Rauch is going to get his ass kicked. We've nearly tied the game off him twice now. If we didn't have such bad luck and such a bad offense, he would have blown at least one of these saves.

Nice job, White Sox.

Win the opener and look like world beaters and you are 1-4 in your own division, arguably the worst division, all the gaes at home. Wow.

We did out hit Minn 6-5 too bad lost 2-1 on 1 f***ing mistake pitch!

We've hit like 7 home runs.

More like 4.

In all seriousness... somebody in the front office has to be at least thinking about hitting the Panic Button.

Wait til we get on the road, folks.

This is going to get ugly very very fast.

It's also bad that the slow start likely will mean less walk-up crowds, which gives the Sox less money to add a player. With any other offense we are probably 4-1 right now.

We deserve everything we get. Thanks KW for putting together this trash team.

KW is all knowing Mr.Smugass NEVER question him! :lolhitting

I'm sorry.

You can sugar coat it all you want, say "Well its early" or "Its still cold, wait until it warms up"...but the fact remains, this is one of the most inept, badly thrown together offensive lineups that we've seen in a long time. The additions in the off season make no sense at all for this 2010 team.

Come on now, there's no way they hit under .200 all season.. its just not going to happen..

Jermaine Dye is sitting at home, laughing.

with the way this team is I wouldn't be surprised if we have a better record on the road this year.

Ya, I was looking at the wrong teams stats. 2 from PK, 1 from Rios, and 1 from CQ.

Meanwhile, Minnesota is posed to win 6 ALCD championships in 9 years.

Luckily for the White Sox, it's not 7, but only because of Rick Hahn's kid making a 50/50 guess on a coin flip.

The scary thing is that the Twins can outspend us (as well as the Tigers) now, too.

KW really has not added anyone much but cheap pickups!

What it does is kills ticket sales. While obviously every game you win now is one less you have to win later, it is only 5 games and no need to panic, but you would want to win a game or two here or there before this thing really snowballs.

How smart baseball people could think you could win it all just because of starting pitching is beyond belief.

Holy Cow!!!

Considering the division we play in, our "accomplishments" are unimpressive.

Context is everything, or aren't you bright enough to understand that?

Either way, why don't you go f*** yourself?

Bye bye.

There is no reason to hit the panic button, the pitching has been outstanding.

This is the 5th game, or the equivalent of 3% of the season.

If the Sox were winning games 10-1, I wouldnt be saying that this was the best offense, just like now Im not saying they are the worst offense.

I missed the game. It appears i didn't miss much

kw because how we almost got halladay, when we clearly need a bat. halladay sure would be making a difference right now lol

I actually heard a story last night from a pretty reliable source that Jim Thome doesn't have KW on his Christmas card list.
