Probably not, because everyone has some sort of Pods "hate," which means that he didn't deserve less money than Juan Pierre for his services. And then they say that the Sox don't need Jim Thome or Jermaine Dye back because Ozzie Guillen's small ball philosophy works, because they swear it.

Yes. But he wouldn't have been cheaper than Pierre at the time we made the trade...the only reason Pods was signed for the deal he was is that no one else would have him.
