Don't we usually see a separate thread in the important topics section when a prospect is called up such as Threets ?

Threets is not a prospect. He's a 28 year old left handed reliever who has bounced around the minors for a good amount of time now.

Still, he's never been up with the Sox before and with his great minor league numbers perhaps a bit of an introduction is needed for those with less knowledge of the Sox minor league system.

He's a guy who throws very hard, one of the few lefties in baseball who can match speed with Thornton. But he's had control issues and injuries. He's seen the majors for brief stints multiple times. Seems like maybe a good "project" for Coop, in the way that Thornton was. Lots of potential there, but a low probability of ultimate success.

His command is a big issue and the reason he wasn't up here sooner. Plus Coop believed that Williams was more suited for the long relief role.

I woke up this morning hoping to see the White Sox in the transactions and that Williams was gone, but not yet........alas, I can continue to hope.

Maybe my day is starting right, Cowley is saying that Williams is on his way to AAA!!!

Did anyone see if Threet's fielding play made the ESPN Top 10 from last night's games?

Now there's going to be a lot of angry fans in AAA.
