Buehrle looks awful again. Fastball at 85 mph and no command of it.

With Juan Pierre hitting behind Gordo right now, I would like to see him set back into the two slot and see if having the two best hitters right now on the team hitting behind him might help out Beckham.

That'll score a pair. 2-0 Tribe.

Wow Buehrle...keep throwing batting practice. Booing starting already, and Stone is just ripping Buehrle and AJP. FIRE EVERYONE!

It's amazing how bad our 3 highest paid starting pitchers and 2 highest paid relievers have been.

Will Buehrle make it out of the first?

God Bless you MB, but you would look GREAT in a St. Louis Cardinals jersey right about now...

Buehrle needs to be DL'ed.

He either has a dead arm or there's really something physically wrong that sending him out there over and over again isn't going to help.

Give Hudson or Torres a shot. He's too important to this franchise to let him suffer like this when he's obviously not right.

Well on the bright side I could have paid to see this mess...

3 runs isn't enough to win this game, but when you get a coaching visit to the mound 1 out into the game, its not a good sign.

I like how Stone says we've helped Valbuena get back to respectability...even though he's hitting .183.

Because on our team, that average would be respectable.

Hey! The 2nd out!

Probably the longest ball Grudz has hit to right field in a decade.

Caul, couldn´t the same be said for Gavin and Peavy??

Right along with his buddy JFPFS.

Buehrle with an ERA now of 5.21, Lord knows what it is since OD.

Obviously if he's hovering around 84-86 MPH FB, he's a full 3-5 MPH behind what he used to throw.

Javy Vazquez is likely to end today with a lower ERA than Buehrle.

I think these are more command/control/location/pitch selection issues.

They've both flashed very dominant fastballs and offspeed stuff from time to time this season, just not on anything close to a consistent or sustained basis.

He has to have more than 5 to 7 mph separation between the change and fastball in order to be successful. Mark either has to find his fastball, or slow down his change. with that little difference hitters can sit in the middle and still catch up to both.

Good observation

Bah, I disagree. They've been beaten up so regularly that the flashes of their "dominant fastballs and offspeed stuff" may as well be written off as accidents.
