June 8, 201015 yr How awesome would it be if the Pirates just took it to him and he barely made it 2 or 3 innings? I'd enjoy that. Is this game on national TV?

June 8, 201015 yr Author QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 12:45 PM) I think MLB Network has it. As will ESPN.
June 8, 201015 yr Man, you would think he plays for the yankees or Red Sox with all the hype he's getting.
June 8, 201015 yr QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 01:49 PM) As will ESPN. Actually, I'm not sure they do, it's not listed on ESPN for DirecTV, and ESPN.com doesn't mention it being on their network.
June 8, 201015 yr QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 12:35 PM) The Marlins are in Philly tonight Ah, got confused with J4L's post then. My bad.
June 8, 201015 yr QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 01:24 PM) Do the Pirates count as a Major League team? With the prospects they got comming up and their recent draft, they will be very soon. Hell I would say the Cubs still think they are legit. Great future though for the Pirates. They also changed their entire draft philosophy.

Its a never ending cycle for them.
June 8, 201015 yr Author I'm so f***ing stoked for this. This has been the most exciting time for me as a baseball fan since 1994.

I don't think so. They're not spending the money they are to get these guys only to let them walk when the time comes. I think there really has been a change over there. And it's good to see both the Pirates and Reds with powerhouse potential (at least by NL central standards). Thus making things even more difficult for the Cubs.

Thus making things even more difficult for the Cubs. I said this last year, but with both the Cards and Cubs looking to be possibly fading over the next 2-3 years, it's a great time for the Pirates and Reds to take a big step up. It's important that the Pirates get good value on the veterans they trade in the next year, including Maholm. E. Meek looks to be a promising reliever for them and should be their closer of the future. Edited June 8, 201015 yr by fathom
June 8, 201015 yr This guy's like 2005 Bobby Jenks, but a starter... Just struck out Milledge on two great curveballs. Edited June 8, 201015 yr by chw42
June 8, 201015 yr I was waiting on them to stop talking on MLB network but I just realized it's a home broadcast where I live on MASN2. Yay me.
