July 11, 201015 yr QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 11, 2010 -> 04:01 PM) Eight in a row. 11 games above .500 highest all year, a grand slam, Andruw's 400th, Tanks 2nd, Gordons 1st 3 hit game of the season , Hudsons 1st start of the season, a sweep of the whole home stand, a Linebrink scoreless inning and 1st place all at the end of the 1st half. WOW !!! Did I miss anything ? That is something to be recognized- a rare occurence. 1st place -

July 11, 201015 yr QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 11, 2010 -> 05:40 PM) I am really nervous to figure out the numbers on the starting pitchers stats when I factor in what Hudson did today..... The good thing is I promise you it will not change the fact that we are currently in first place...
July 11, 201015 yr Sox starters over last 8 games..... 49 1/3 IP, 36 H, 10 ER, 12 BB, 29 K, 1.82 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, 2.42 K/BB Sox are 8-0 over that stretch.

Just as impressive as that ERA is (especially when considering that Hudson nearly doubled it today) is that number of hits...36 hits over almost 50 innings is insane.
July 11, 201015 yr just an amazing stretch of baseball. kudos to the team and ozzie for pulling it together.

July 12, 201015 yr June 8th, 2010 July 11th, 2010 Just interesting to see them visually, especially interesting is the run differential and home/away records Run Differential from June 8th to July 11th: +79 (RS 156 / RA 79) We've almost doubled our opponents runs over that stretch, i.e. We score 10, they score 5, we score 8, they score 4 I'm trying to curb my enthusiasm but this team is a huge bucket of awesome right now Edited July 12, 201015 yr by Real
July 12, 201015 yr Couldn't be more proud of a team at the ASB. At the very least the guys have made this season an interesting one. Hats off to the pitchers and TCQ rebeasting himself.
July 12, 201015 yr It's hard to believe. Let's hope the All Star Break doesn't cool the guys off, and the next month is as good as the last month was.

July 12, 201015 yr First place and the Sox are under .500 against AL opponents (34-35), and AL Central opponents (16-17). That'll change for the better, but kind of interesting I think.
July 12, 201015 yr Only the 6th perfect homestand in White Sox history per Bruce Levine . There's one for you Statmandu.
