White Sox at Twins 7-18 game thread 1:05 first pitch

Featured Replies

It was one game. Plenty of games left vs twins and detroit. Yes it sucks, no need to panic though.

Truth hurts doesn't it?

The old White Sox are back.

I think you need a nap.

The cardiac closer rears his ugly head. Once again proving that he can’t ever truly be trusted when the game is on the line. This is f***ing catastrophic.

3 horrible losses in a row to a division rival in a playoff hunt.

It's going to go worse.

Then you know what? This team wasn't going to contend for the AL Central regardless of what happened. This was a bad loss, but it does nothing to drastically alter what happens the rest of the season. If it does, then this team is a bunch of mental pansies.

Oh, I have no problem with the truth. The truth and I get along just fine. Now for this wacky claptrap your hacking up all of a sudden here, that's a whole other story.

Meanwhile, the White Sox remain the first place White Sox, and it's onto Seattle. Go Sox!

So basically by your estimation they have to play like they did today every day?

Do the Yankees even do that daily?

The Yankees have a real closer. Not that it means a damn thing, I'm so done with Chris Farley.

THANK YOU! This isn't like the debacle in 2008 when Floyd/Jenks blew a big lead and then we lost in extras.

Sure is overreaction in here.

Not in regards to Jenks. He really is bad.

1 game? Did you miss Friday's and Saturday's crapfest?

1-3 in a most win series coming off the All-Star break is a bad, bad, bad trend setter.

1: Does Rios ever dive?

2: Relax. They actually gained 1 game this series. If you read these last 5 pages, you would've thought their 1.5 out now.

You know someone is overreacting when fathom is basically like, "STFU".

Ding.

This is one of those loses, Bobby was outstanding before break, yes he sucked today. We'll see how this team gets up from it and plays Mariners and A's.

I expect both series won.

Horrible losses?

What are you talking about?

At least we came back Friday night and made it a game, the Tigers just lost four in a row to Cleveland.

It sucks, but that's what happens in a long baseball season.

After Thursday, the White Sox had made up 14 games in a little over a month against the Twins. Even without Morneau, the Twins are not as bad as they were playing, and they still have a ton of pitching question marks.

However, we really did manage to bring them back to life when we could have knocked them 5 1/2 back or more.

Again, it's not 1 game, it's 3 straight games....against the Twins, after the all-star break.....not a good trend to be setting.

Couldn't agree more. But to the "season is over" posters, I just wonder how some of you remember to breathe every day.

Can somebody shoot me a PM when greg gets on? If he f***ing defends that fat f*** I'm gonna lose it. I don't want to get banned.

Most people (I think, intelligently) see the Twins as the real threat to this team, not the Tigers. We lost ground to them.

Something the first half of this season is to not trust anything with this team, good or bad. It's 3 losses...sure it sucks, but I GUARANTEE you that if the division comes down to 2 games in the end, there will be plenty of other chances we blew.

Good teams would of buried Blackburn when they had to chance and not leaving too many runners in scoring position. This team has no killer instincts at all.

Dude, teams are allowed to have 3 straight loses and still make the playoffs.
