Simmons had a writer on a few weeks ago who talked about Bosh not being all that close with Lebron and Wade off the court. Those two like to party but Bosh likes to stay home, read, and go to different restaurants and is a lot more mellow. I gained a tad of respect for Bosh after hearing that.

 

I would never put Bosh in the same category as Wade and Lebron but it seems he joined those guys purely to win while Wade and Lebron got together to win, but also party and live a famous lifestyle.

 

I honestly think Bosh would be thrilled if the Heat won the championship this year, and traded him during the summer. He gets his ring, and perhaps can spend the rest of his career attempting to regain some semblance of likability, while also trying to win one without those guys. I've heard a lot about Bosh being traded after the season, and I'd guess a combination of him being a different guy off the court than Wade and LeBron, his salary being so large while being the 3rd best player on the team, and the looming CBA bringing in stricter cap rules is why.

 

I personally think trading Bosh would be a mistake because Wade isn't going to hold up much longer, and you end up with the same problems LeBron had in Cleveland if Bosh leaves and Wade isn't Wade anymore. Unless of course, you have a significant replacement lined up for Bosh, but that brings back all of the same cap issues if you do. Not to mention, trading one of your best players after winning a title is quite the risk.

We'll be lucky if there even is a 2011-2012 NBA thread. I don't think it's babyish at all. I need to see the new CBA, whatever it is, before I really give up on it. And I don't think I could ever give up on the Bulls specifically (especially after sticking with them from 1999-2004), just everybody else. I stand by the fact that I think a Heat title plus a long lockout is going to equal an enormous amount of lost fans.

Seriously though, I don´t hate Bosh as much as the other 2, in fact, I would´ve loved Bosh here instead of Boozer, they´re both soft but at least Bosh could hit a 18 ft jumper consistently.

I dont think its the fact a team people dont like might win the title as much as it was how that team was assembled. Everything from the decision to all three players seemingly stringing along the Bulls last summer. Not to mention that a lot of people think the Heat have gotten favorable treatment from the refs during the playoffs, which obviously the NBA has a track record with.

I think the heat have gotten favorable treatment because established stars have long since figured out how to game the system to get favorable treatment rather than anything rigged for the Heat.

He told me everything I needed when he said he was going to take his talents to South Beach. He wasn't going to Miami, he was going to South Beach. Basketball hasn't been fun to watch for a while. Officiating is terrible around the board. The fact that those Kings teams of the early 2000's couldn't win a ring is a damn shame. It's a superstar league where 2 or 3 guys can win a championship and 3/4 of the league is entirely irrelevant. That isn't healthy.

The "stringing along" thing comes from the realization that these guys knew all along they were going to play on the same team since they all got tight playing for Team USA... once it was all put into context it felt like such a huge slap in the face as a fan. Bosh's cameras following him around and tweet-whoring asking people where he should go... Wade's "I'm gonna make a website called whatlittledotheyknow.com" tweet, and him faking like he was really thinking about going to Chicago because of his sons and coming back for the 2nd interview when he knew he never was, LeBron... doing, well, everything, although to be fair he handled having 6 interviews about as best as he could. When I realized they'd planned it all along I felt soooo stupid for missing what should've been obvious.

It's less that I'm mad that he's not coming to chicago, more that he is the biggest tool I've ever seen in sports. He's the only play in basketball i've seen that consistently plays like he knows the camera's are watching him. I don't give a f*** about his career or that he's good, he's a douche and that's that.
