Sony hopes to restore PlayStation Network by end of May

I repeat: Don't f*** with hackers.

You still think this was Anonymous. I think you are way off base. Anonymous does things to show people they can do it. This was a money grab

The concept of Anonymous hacking anyone is stupid. Anyone who thing they are an actual group is just wrong. It's literally an internet meme and nothing more, which makes it all the more funny when the news try to cover them.

Austin Kearns broke his leg, so I got called up to the Mariners! Went 0-3 in my 1st 3 AB vs. Chris Tillman. But in my 4th AB, and vs. Clay Hensley, I hit a solo HR in the bottom of the 8th to tie the game at 4 for my 1st major league hit!

I never said it was "Anonymous". It certainly was pissed off hackers of some sort, though.

Just brought the N64 out. Never gets old.

Depends on your definition of old, as technically it gets older every day.

No. It certainly was not.

You can get update, nothing else works though.

LOL, the day PSN comes back, my PS3 breaks again. I knew the day would come, since I went with the quick $50 fix instead of Sony's $150, but the timing is comical. Luckily it managed to come back on long enough for me to eject my disc, and copy my game saves to a flash drive.

So, MotorStorm Apocalypse is mad fun.

The dynamic settings, massive tracks, city setting, are all just crazy.

That being said, the only way to unlock things is online. This is annoying.

Why is that annoying? PSN is back up and running.

It makes the Story Mode seem pointless, which while not a focal point, is still quite fun at times.

It worked for me last night. The PS Store didn't work, but I played a game of NHL 11 against a buddy after the Bulls game.

Anyone else getting LA Noire? I just picked up a copy through Amazon. Over night delivery is 99 cents and it comes with a 15 dollar credit towards a future purchase. Not bad.

For old school nerd gamers like me, Code Monkeys is available on Netflix streaming.

Now that some PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been restored and you’re once again enjoying online gaming and entertainment, we’re happy to provide details about the “Welcome Back” appreciation program for customers in North America. We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!

This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.

All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

Dead Nation

inFAMOUS

LittleBigPlanet

Super Stardust HD

Wipeout HD + Fury

For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

LittleBigPlanet (PSP)

ModNation Racers

Pursuit Force

Killzone Liberation

A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.

30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.

Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.

Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.

To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

Well, definitely picking up ModNation Racers PSP, LBP PSP, WipeOut (don't have Fury) and Dead Nation.

That's a damn good return package.

It's a clever way to get more people interested in some of their exclusive franchises. Infamous 2 comes out in June so the timing couldn't be better. Give away the first one to get people interested in the second one.

So basically they are giving us a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff because their FREE service went down for a few weeks. Sounds like a slam dunk to me.

ModNation Racers isn't one of the options for PS3, Dead Nation is though.

Very nice. Especially happy about Infamous, was considering getting it anyways.

LA Noire, etc.
