You know full well that at optimum price levels you don't sell out every ticket. You just get really close ;-)

As hard as they were hitting the ads, I don't think they really came close... otherwise they wouldn't have needed the ads still

They were trying to sell tickets all of the way up until today. I don't think they made it.

Do you remember how much it used to cost before they switched hotels? I really do miss being able to go to Soxfest, it really was a blast.

Hurray! green?

No problem here and hopefully now they are a happy Sox family again in the Windy City

Hurray! green?

Thank about it.

Why would they want the media hanging over them all year?

"Are you going to re-sign Ozzie?

"Is this Ozzie's last year?"

"Are you not extending Ozzie because of Oney's Tweeting?"

- Incessantly repeated over and over from Spring Training through September.

Now, if they want to let Ozzie go after 2011, they can without questions and just pay him for 2012.

Yuck.

Agree on the first, but no way they let him go and pay him. He will be here in 2012.

Well that just makes 0 sense.

Frankly, yes, I'd want the media hanging all over him this year.

I don't want to hear any excuses about it being a distraction if we lose the division again.

Meh.

If we're gonna worry about Ozzie getting questions from the media about his contract situation, then we might as well sign him forever or something.

Seems kind of pointless. I'd much rather do it in-season.

My take is that a manager's actions can hurt a team more than they can help a team.

I feel Ozzie is a feast or famine manager; his highs are high, and his lows are low, therefore if I were a GM he wouldn't be my manager.

KW hates the local media. He'd do anything to shut them up.

IIRC, he wasn't getting paid a whole lot anyway, right?

It was a flat $250 for the weekend, and the passes were included with the room.

This is fine. No matter what happens with the White Sox this year, Ozzie will be in demand. Having him under contract makes it possible they could get compensation for basically "firing" him next year.

You can still get Saturday or Sunday or 2 day passes on ticketmaster.

Good to hear. Hopefully some winning takes place before the end of 2012 and he stays even longer.

Wow that SUCKS now. What a thumb in the eye. I've only been once, in '05, but at those prices, no thanks!

Boo. Not a fan of the Oz sticking around. I think he just wore his welcome.

Saw that. Ugh, I was looking forward to some change, even if I love Ozzie.
